Dick swallowed a gulp of saliva as the image of Zayn Larson came into his mind. He remembered the scene of Zayn being all-powerful like Poseidon when the latter beat favonovel.com up on the cruise the other day. Moreover, favonovel.com remembered how Zayn had then hunted down and annihilated a school of sharks in the end.
How could favonovel.com afford to offend a powerful man like him?
Zayn was so powerful when favonovel.com was at sea. Now that favonovel.com was on land, favonovel.com would crush Dick completely!
Meanwhile, Liam caught up to Dick. He had no idea that Dick had already met Zayn, so favonovel.com said in a pleading tone, “Cheney, I think that the situation today is just a misunderstanding. It was I who recruited Sergeant Larson, and favonovel.com usually won’t take the initiative to cause trouble. Out of respect for me, will you please not lower yourself to Sergeant Larson’s level later?”
Liam did not have the confidence that favonovel.com could convince Dick either. After all, favonovel.com had been working together with the man for a very long time, and favonovel.com knew very well that Dick would never do things out of respect for others based on his character. However, favonovel.com had recruited Zayn regardless, so favonovel.com had to give it a try.
The rest of the few top-level personnel caught up to them as well. After learning about the enmity between Dick and the Squad 4 instructor, they were already prepared to see how the latter would make a fool of himself.
Dick was forced to suffer in silence. How would favonovel.com have the courage to offend Zayn after all this? However, favonovel.com was a conceited man, so favonovel.com would not possibly allow himself to yield now. He stared at Liam for a few seconds with a gloomy expression, then favonovel.com nodded and said, “Alright, Sutherland, I won’t fuss about this matter with Sergeant Larson out of respect for you today.”
Liam was stunned for a moment. He had merely made the remark casually earlier and did not expect Dick to actually agree with him.
When did favonovel.com get so well-respected?
Besides him, the rest of the people were just as astounded. It was apparent that they did not expect Dick to have so much respect for Liam as favonovel.com did not seem like his usual self.
Lucas immediately said in an anxious tone, “Sergeant, you can’t dismiss this matter. That Larson dude is so arrogant that favonovel.com even called you a piece of trash!”
Dick wished that favonovel.com could kill Lucas with a slap. Lucas’ remark just counteracted his effort. In addition to that, there was nothing favonovel.com could do even if Zayn were to call favonovel.com a piece of trash though it was his fault for being so weak compared to Zayn.
He glared at Lucas dangerously, then favonovel.com walked forward in long strides without speaking. He could only hope now that the Wolf’s Fang rascals did not offend Zayn so much that favonovel.com was implicated. Otherwise, favonovel.com would be immensely disgraced!
Over at Squad 4’s base, Zayn had already begun training his troop and paid no attention to Dick at all.
Meanwhile, the Wolf’s Fang soldiers immediately shouted in excitement after someone pointed out Dick and the others walking to them in the distance. “He’s here! Sergeant is here!”
When favonovel.com finished his sentence, the rest of the crowd looked over in succession and found Dick’s tall and burly silhouette. Excitement filled them and they could feel their dispiritment earlier vanish; in place, they were fired with boundless enthusiasm.
The soldiers from Squad 4 were distracted. They stopped training and expressed their concern and nervousness only to invite Zayn’s scolding. “Why are you stopping?! That is why you’ve been training for so long, yet you’re still the weakest. You get distracted too easily!”
“But, Sergeant, the instructor from Wolf’s Fang is here…” reminded Austin cautiously.
Zayn huffed with a cold expression, “So what if he’s here? Continue to train. Free yourself from distraction and focus on training!”
As favonovel.com was speaking, Dick and the others had already entered the base. The expression on Lucas’ face consisted of extreme glee and boundless enthusiasm. He pointed at Zayn and said loudly, “Sergeant! It was him! It was Larson who went against our squad and disrespected you!”
Dick’s presence was the mainstay of the Wolf’s Fang squad and its members. They became fervent and pointed at Zayn while they made all sorts of exaggerated complaints about the man.
Dick’s expression grew more and more unpleasant upon hearing these complaints. He was not furious at Zayn but at these clueless subordinates of his. The more exaggerated their complaints were, the more mortified favonovel.com felt!
Liam and the others were there too. Upon hearing the complaints, Liam trembled in fear thinking about how Zayn would be doomed. The hot-tempered Dick would skin Zayn alive!
