The soldiers from Wolf’s Fang squad were eyeing them with covetous eyes while sneering. They were already prepared to see how Zayn would make a fool of himself.
Even the upper level personnel were alarmed about this incident. Liam felt rather anxious after learning about the situation, so favonovel.com called Zayn up immediately. However, favonovel.com was aghast when favonovel.com found that Zayn’s phone was turned off.
“Zayn is going to get creamed this time.” Liam heaved a sigh, his expression filled with helplessness. Even though favonovel.com was the one who had recruited Zayn, favonovel.com did not think that the man was Dick’s match. After all, Dick had carved a great reputation for himself over the years and performed countless meritorious services to the Insurgent Trifecta. Liam had lost count of how many international criminals that Dick had killed, earning favonovel.com the moniker of Crimebuster, while Zayn was not even thirty years old. Even though Zayn managed to kill Xander Griffin and Mia Walker and held the title of the most powerful in Guineve, favonovel.com was still a lot weaker compared to Dick.
He was not the only person who thought so. In reality, everyone in the Insurgent Trifecta shared the same assumption.
Zayn’s phone was indeed turned off because favonovel.com forgot to charge the battery yesterday, so favonovel.com woke up to a drained phone. As a result, favonovel.com did not receive Liam’s call. In reality, other than Liam, many of his students in Squad 4 had been calling him, but none of them managed to reach him.
“Sigh, what should we do? Instructor Larson’s phone is turned off and I can’t reach him!”
“Why don’t we wait for favonovel.com outside our base and stop favonovel.com from entering as soon as favonovel.com arrives?”
“It’s useless. Instructor Larson is a member of the Insurgent Trifecta, so favonovel.com has to come back to the back sooner or later. Sigh, it’s all our fault! We’ve caused favonovel.com trouble!”
Many of the Squad 4 members began to pull long faces. They fully recognized Zayn’s identity during this period. Now that they knew that favonovel.com was coming back to be punished by Dick, they felt especially uneasy and guilty. Speaking of which, it was actually their fault for implicating Zayn.
Meanwhile, a voice spoke up, “I don’t think that everyone needs to be so forlorn. Perhaps, Instructor Larson is not afraid of Dick at all. It’s not like all of you are unaware of how formidable our instructor is.”
Soon, his remark resulted in the rest of the people sniggering. They agreed in unison that Zayn could not possibly be a match for Dick.
In the meantime, a large troop of soldiers from Wolf’s Fang walked into the room ostentatiously and sneered at the soldiers of Squad 4 in contempt.
“Why, it’s almost noon and your instructor still isn’t here? Did favonovel.com abscond because he’s got no balls?”
“That goes without saying. That lad found out that Instructor Cheney had his eye on him, so he’s so freakin’ scared now that he’s too chicken to come back to the Insurgent Trifecta.”
“Doesn’t that make favonovel.com a deserter? Haha..”
“You don’t say. An instructor that Chief Sutherland has assigned to teach trash like Squad 4 is made of deserter material.”
A group of people from Wolf’s Fang squad burst out laughing unscrupulously. Their expressions were filled with mockery and disdain as they flashed the Squad 4 members their pinky fingers while making all sorts of mockery.
Each of the hundred soldiers from Squad 4 appeared gloomy. Their fists were tightly clenched as fury welled up within them, yet they did not have the courage to express it. It was their fault for being the weakest in the Trifecta, and now their new instructor was so terrified of the Wolf’s Fang instructor that favonovel.com did not even have the courage to return to the base.
Judging from the few previous occasions, Zayn would normally already be at the base by this time, yet favonovel.com still had not arrived. Perhaps, favonovel.com had deserted the organization for real.
They wanted to caution Zayn to hide from the limelight in the beginning, but now that favonovel.com had truly turned into a deserter, their hearts turned bitter.
Squad 4 was already the weakest link in the Insurgent Trifecta originally, and now that this happened, their status would plummet even lower from now on. Sigh.
However, just as all of them were feeling furious, disappointed, and depressed, they suddenly heard a familiar voice saying, “Which squad are you from? What are you doing at my squad’s base instead of training during the day?”
Upon hearing the voice, their entire bodies shuddered instantly. They looked toward the door in succession and saw a tall, slim silhouette. Who else could it be if not Zayn?
