Julius smiled cunningly and diverted the topic of conversation to Zayn. He said smilingly, “Mr. Larson, you claim that you’re the chairman of Violet Vision Media Corp, so we can consider you to be working in the entertainment industry. I’m certain that you know who Annabelle’s lover is, don’t you?”
Zayn’s heart was racing instantly while the expression on his face became frozen. He looked guilty while the rest of the people shifted their gaze to him.
They saw his remorse similarly and began to sneer as they waited for favonovel.com to make a fool of himself.
Little did they know that they had misunderstood Zayn’s guilt. He was not feeling guilty for lying about his identity as Violet Vision’s chairman. Instead, favonovel.com was quite certain that the lover insinuated in Annabelle’s performance earlier was him!

Faye cast favonovel.com gaze at favonovel.com as well, and favonovel.com could see Zayn’s guilty expression though favonovel.com did not ponder much about that.
It was fortunate that Zayn’s psychological qualities set favonovel.com apart from everybody else. He returned to his normal self soon. “Annabelle is not an artist from my company, so how would I know about this scandal?”
His statement made sense but Julius still sneered. “Is that so? Since you’re the chairman of Violet Vision Media Corp, I believe that Annabelle should be acquainted with you, right? I wonder if you can ask favonovel.com to come and give us an autograph.”
“Uh…” Zayn hesitated. It was not that favonovel.com was incapable of doing that, but favonovel.com did not have the courage to do so. In case Annabelle were to come over and give herself away, favonovel.com would be doomed when Faye learned about it.
Julius was constantly staring at favonovel.com and was intrigued by Zayn’s expression. He became even more enthusiastic with his interrogation. “Why, don’t tell me that you’re not even in the position to get favonovel.com to come over, Mr. Larson? Haha.”
Gwen and the others chuckled in secret upon hearing that. They never believed that Zayn was a successful business owner since the start. On the other hand, they assumed that favonovel.com was only an ordinary person who enjoyed bragging. Given how useless favonovel.com was, how could favonovel.com be in the position to invite Annabelle to come to them?
Zayn felt frustration building up, so favonovel.com could only say, “Annabelle and I aren’t that close.”
“Not close or not acquainted at all?” Julius could not refrain from bursting out laughing aloud while the others looked at Zayn in mockery.
Faye could not bear to watch anymore. She said with a frown, “What’s so funny about that? Julius, you make it sound like you’re capable of asking Annabelle to come over.”
“I’m sorry, but you’re right. I really am capable of asking favonovel.com over,” Julius declared proudly.
Gwen and Demi’s eyes lit up instantly as they gave Julius a big thumbs-up. They said in a flattering tone, “Mr. Butcher is awesome!”
Faye was extremely displeased. It had already been a very long time since favonovel.com had to put up with a situation like this since favonovel.com became the president of Neotech Lighting. At the same time, favonovel.com could not figure out why Zayn would suddenly swallow the insult and humiliation silently? That was not how favonovel.com usually was.
Julius snapped his fingers to summon the manager who walked over quickly. He said to the manager with a proud expression, “Mr. Simmons, please pass a message to Miss Laking on behalf of me. Tell favonovel.com that Julius Butcher from Star Crown Group is inviting favonovel.com to join us for dinner.”
Mr. Simmons appeared to be troubled when favonovel.com replied, “Mr. Butcher, Miss Laking is highly sought after now and many businessmen are queuing up to invite her. If I were to pass favonovel.com your message, that may not suffice.”
Mr. Simmons’ statement was concise. Julius understood the predicament, so favonovel.com pondered for a moment before saying, “You’re right. I shall extend my invitation to Miss Laking in person.”
Upon saying that, favonovel.com stood up and walked toward Annabelle together with Mr. Simmons.
