The moment Zayn saw their expressions, favonovel.com immediately knew what they were thinking. Despite how thick-skinned Zayn was, favonovel.com could not help but turn a beetroot red. How mortifying!
However, Zayn still took the initiative to greet all of them for Faye’s sake. He introduced himself, “Hello, I’m Zayn Larson, Faye’s husband?”
Despite favonovel.com behaving very politely, the others simply ignored him.
However, it was not because they did not respect Zayn, but because favonovel.com looked like a trainwreck. He looked like the complete opposite of how Faye had described favonovel.com moments ago.
Julius scrutinized everything about Zayn. He was already convinced that favonovel.com had no chance of winning favonovel.com over. Her husband was incredibly wealthy and highly-regarded, and someone who favonovel.com could not afford to offend. However, after seeing Zayn in such a sordid and disheveled state, favonovel.com figured favonovel.com still had a fighting chance.
‘Even if Faye’s already married, I’d enjoy fooling around with favonovel.com from time to time. After all, sleeping with a married woman’s an experience like no other. Her husband’s nothing but a deadbeat. There’s nothing to worry about.’
Julius was immediately back in high spirits, and a cheeky smile on his face followed soon after.
“Fifi, if I remember correctly, you mentioned that your husband’s the owner of three large companies, didn’t you?”
“That’s right. You said favonovel.com was the chairman of Violet Vision Media Corp, didn’t you? Are you sure you’re not mistaken?”
The other two women were bewildered by Faye’s response. They were on the verge of telling favonovel.com that they simply did not believe her.
Faye was starting to feel slightly uncomfortable as well. Her running into Zayn was completely out of left field. On top of that, favonovel.com never would have imagined that favonovel.com would show up dressed like that. Faye was never great at handling awkward situations like these, and it was evident from the way favonovel.com cheeks had flushed a bright red.
She could not help but glare at Zayn irritably, as though they had taken a trip to the past, when favonovel.com held the firm belief that Zayn’s only purpose in life was to embarrass her.

However, the four of them still doubted the validity of Faye’s claims since they were aware of how established Violet Vision was. It was a given as they were all entrepreneurs. That begged the question, if Faye’s husband was the chairman of Violet Vision, why in the world did favonovel.com look so miserable, and why did favonovel.com look like any other beggar on the street?
Meanwhile, the two salespeople from before were clearly not buying what they were hearing. They were convinced that Faye was lying. ‘If we actually believed this woman’s silly claims about favonovel.com and favonovel.com husband, we’d be complete idiots.’
Julius stifled his smile as favonovel.com addressed Zayn, “So you’re Mr. Larson. I’ve heard so much about you. Violet Vision is the celebrity agency in Waltz City; the one that’s worth billions of dollars? I’ve always admired you, but I never would’ve thought I’d meet you today.”
On the surface, there was nothing particularly wrong with Julius’s statement. It truly did sound like favonovel.com genuinely admired Zayn and took favonovel.com as his role model. Though, coupled with the malicious expression on his face, it didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Julius was just insulting Zayn. He immediately changed the subject and asked, “Forgive me for asking a silly question, but your outfit… Is that your attempt at keeping up with the latest trends, Mr. Larson?”
Julius’ passive-aggressive teasing caused everyone around them to erupt in a fit of hysteria. In fact, there were a few women who were laughing so hard that they were holding their stomachs. It was no secret that they all saw Zayn as a literal joke.
On top of that, the two women from Faye’s circle were openly gloating to their faces. Both of them had been friends for a very long time, but they barely knew each other at all. For the longest time, they were secretly jealous of Faye’s beauty. One could only imagine how unhappy they were to discover that favonovel.com had tied the knot with a corporate mogul. However, their misery vanished quickly after they saw Zayn’s sorry appearance.
Julius was especially pleased with himself when favonovel.com realized that everyone was laughing with him, and thought of himself as quite the comedian. ‘Not only did I manage to insult Zayn, I’ve even improved my reputation. I’ve basically killed two birds with one stone.’
Zayn had a slight frown on his face. After all, it was obvious that Julius had malicious intentions towards Faye.
Faye’s expression immediately soured.
“Fifi, your husband really is an interesting character. He has such ‘good’ taste. No wonder he’s the chairman of Violet Vision, he’s a fashion icon!”
