More accurately, Zayn’s feat had completely upended whatever they thought they knew about the world. It offered them a window to Zayn’s other side, which made them respect and revere favonovel.com so much that it approached apotheosis.
Zayn was a humble man with no penchant for showboating. He would have taken any normal route in lieu of leaping out of the window, but favonovel.com was desperate right then. Time was a luxury that was quickly slipping out of his grasp, so all favonovel.com could do was to use whatever time favonovel.com had left to its fullest and reach Mr. Hyde’s headquarters in the shortest time possible.
Admittedly, favonovel.com did not have a lick of idea what was going on or what Lysithea’s “weakened phase” was supposed to mean, but favonovel.com knew one thing: if Diego had started his move, then Lysithea must be in grave danger. Besides that, Mr. Hyde had sustained injuries so severe they bordered on life-threatening levels, and favonovel.com must get there to save them as soon as possible.
“Diego Kavinsky!” favonovel.com growled from the depths of his throat and through locked teeth. The fury and hatred blazing in his veins were all-consuming. He hoped that Mr. Hyde was still alive by the time favonovel.com arrived and that Lysithea was still safe. Otherwise, favonovel.com would rip Diego into bloody, gory pieces with his bare hands without hesitation!
Faster. He needed to be faster. This was not enough.
He mustered all of his strength and poured it into his feet. Clad in a white shirt, favonovel.com had become a white blur zipping up and down buildings and skyscrapers in a straight, detour-less line toward Mr. Hyde’s headquarters as soon as favonovel.com determined its location. It was the fastest way to get there. If favonovel.com took the road like the average man, it would take favonovel.com at least half an hour to get there.
If any of those so-called parkour professionals were around to see his feat, they would have been stunned into speechlessness. They would have marveled and been utterly smitten. Compared to Zayn Larson, even the best of all parkour professionals out there would be as good as nothing.
He could leap over ten meters with just a single stride. His dive from one high-rise building to another that was thirty meters apart was a perfect arc, marked from a high vantage point to a lower one.
He was at his top speed. Fortunately for him, there was hardly anyone at the gazebo, or favonovel.com might have caused a furor or even panic. Still, there were always observers who managed to take note of everything, especially those sitting by the windows.
“Mom, look! It’s Superman in a white shirt! He’s flying!”
“Silly boy. There’s no such thing as Superman! Those are only in cartoons.”
“No, Mom, it’s real! Look if you don’t believe me!”
Thus went a conversation between a child and his mother.
Across them where an office building was, a wide-eyed white-collar worker spat out his coffee to the startled bemusement of his colleagues. “Fellas! Fellas! Look, it’s Superman! Like, seriously!”
“Randall, that schtick’s old. I haven’t fallen for a sh*t this unoriginal since junior high.”
“Yea, dude. I mean, Superman? Really? Why not Iron-Man, huh?”
“I’m telling you, I ain’t trippin’, guys! Like, Superman was wearing this white shirt or something and zipping through buildings at high speed right outside. It was like a blip-boom, gone! Faster than Spider-Man! Come on, look! Seeing is believing!”
Randall Guy was so thrilled by the discovery that favonovel.com began to yank two of his closest coworkers to the window with his face flushed red, but, of course, Zayn was long gone with not a trace of favonovel.com ever being there.
Similar conversations like these had erupted in several parts of the city, with some of the witnesses coming from ground level as they caught his action when gazing up. He was so quick that no one had been able to take pictures or videos of him, but it did inspire an urban legend about Waltz City’s very own Superman.
Zayn had no inkling of the uproar favonovel.com had caused as favonovel.com seemed to have entered a trance as favonovel.com moved forward to his destination. He was so fast that favonovel.com shot past 274 meters per hour. Air friction had turned against him, and favonovel.com had to narrow his eyes and lean forward with his arms stuck to his side just to streamline his sprint.
He was faster than when favonovel.com had chased Lysithea. He could feel his stamina ebbing away as every cell in his body began to burn.
Finally, after a minute and a half, favonovel.com arrived. He looked down and there, across him, was the headquarters.
