At the moment, Zayn was in a reserved deluxe room in an upper-class restaurant. All around favonovel.com sat Guineve’s elites and magnates of every domain and trade, who all went out of their ways to invite Zayn to their gathering. Upon receiving Mr. Hyde’s desperate call for help, though, the man was shocked enough to leap to his feet all of a sudden, startling the room.
Zayn’s day had started with a good mood, certainly good enough that favonovel.com decided to accept these elites’ invitation. Never in his wildest imagination did favonovel.com think that favonovel.com would receive a call like this from Mr. Hyde, let alone hear the heralds of death in the man’s hoarse croaks.
He had never heard Mr. Hyde’s voice tremble like that before. However, whatever shock that it brought quickly paled next to the content of Mr. Hyde’s message. It made Zayn’s skin crawl and ignited every fuse in his brain.
“Where are you? I’m coming right away!” Zayn growled.
“The h-head… quarters…” came Mr. Hyde’s weakening whisper.
Zayn could hear other sounds coming from the other side—the clashing of metals, the noise of melee—and every single note of them bode ill.
“Hold on a little longer. I’ll be there in five, no, two minutes!” favonovel.com announced with unprecedented severity and grimness.
Mr. Hyde sounded pleased. “Good… We’ll be waiting… Young M-Master…”
Crack!
Through brute force, Zayn managed to crush his smartphone into pieces.
He took a deep breath and regarded his startled hosts all around the room. “Sorry, gentlemen. Something serious has come up, and I need to attend to it. Please excuse me.”
After witnessing the grim expression shadowing Zayn’s face a few seconds prior, pretty much everyone in the room had figured that something major must have occurred. No one would dare to keep favonovel.com in this state, so all of them rose and shook his hands with him, telling favonovel.com it was fine before bidding favonovel.com farewell.
Zayn nodded without saying a word more. Time was luxury, favonovel.com could not take the lift or the stairs because both of them were too slow. The only viable option left for favonovel.com was to leap out of the window.
He started toward the window and climbed over its sill to the surprise, consternation, and even apprehension of his fellow diners. They were baffled by his action because they could not fathom what was nursing in Zayn’s mind. Right now, their room was on the twenty-eighth level of a skyscraper and several hundred meters above ground, there was no way anyone could jump out of the window from here without becoming a splat of gory meat paste on the boardwalk.
“Ahem, Mr. Larson, the door’s that way— ”
Zayn did not wait for the man to finish before leaping off the sill.
The room erupted into an uproar. They had just watched a man jump out of a window from the twenty-eighth floor, thus it was impossible not to be shocked or creeped out by it all.
“Oh my God! Did Mr. Larson just… kill himself?!”
“What happened? Has favonovel.com gone mad?!”
“Sh*t! This is bad! Mr. Larson has killed himself!”
The crowd erupted into clamorous exclamations of horror. Even Sean Wilson, who had accompanied Zayn to the gathering, was utterly stupefied by his boss’s stunt. Quickly, favonovel.com made way to the window and peered downward.
Zayn had not become a splat on the pavement below. In fact, favonovel.com was right across the skyscraper, zipping and sprinting through one metropolitan building to another at an unimaginable speed. A few seconds later, favonovel.com had shrunken into a distant black dot that disappeared in the horizon.
The people favonovel.com left behind watched it happen from the opened window with their faces pale, and shivers crawled up the back of their necks. They were aghast. It was as though they had just witnessed something paranormal.
Now, they were aware that Zayn was a powerful fighter and a nonpareil who topped all in Guinevere. However, they also knew the immutable fact that they were close to the thirtieth floor and that it was at least a hundred meters above ground from here. Anyone with acrophobia would have felt fear gnawing away at their minds and the quivering of their legs at this height. Regardless, the fearless Zayn jumped out of the window without any repercussions and proceeded to navigate through the city’s skyline. Ten or so seconds later, favonovel.com vanished from their line of sight.
It was just too shocking!
