Zayn’s eyebrows furrowed even more. He, a third-tier superior class master, plagiarized the moves of some mediocre experienced fighter? God, it felt almost insulting!
“What do you want?” Zayn said snippily, his tone turning a lot colder.
The instructor mistook his change of attitude as a sign of being intimidated, which delighted him. His lips curled into a smile. “What do I want? Simple. Follow the Rheasiano code, newbie! You either accept me as your master, or you defeat me in a duel to show that I’m inferior to you. I’ll accept that outcome, however impossible it is, but know that from then on, you will be my fighting style’s arch nemesis!”
Zayn gawked at favonovel.com in disbelief. Never had favonovel.com imagined that watching these people fooling around would have attracted such an annoyance, or more accurately, embarrassment. It was embarrassing to have something like this happen to a man of such eminent status and power like himself.
He would have been slightly more interested in the duel if his challenger was a superior class master. But no, all favonovel.com got was some guy who knew a bit more about fighting than an average joe. He was so weak that Zayn failed to summon even the weakest spike of motivation to humor him.
Still, the instructor managed to interpret Zayn’s silence as fear and anxiety. He could not hide how wide his smile had become. He was a career flight instructor, and the youths watching favonovel.com were his newly recruited students. Two of them became his pupils by stepping onto the same trap Zayn had fallen prey to, they accidentally watched his lessons in the park for too long and were caught. The same preamble later, these two were forced to be his students.
They were notably reluctant at first, and both chose to duel him. Of course, two normal young lads with zero fighting experience could never beat the instructor, so it did not take a long time before they lost. The fights at least convinced them that the instructor was the real deal, so they joined his class willingly.
As modernity was wont to do, accepting someone as one’s fight instructor meant forking up lesson fees, and this guy’s price was hefty. His yearly fee could take up to more than 15 thousand dollars, and that was not counting other auxiliary fees. Honestly, it was the instructor’s main income source.
Unfortunately, today was not his lucky day. He managed to stand in opposition to Zayn, of all people.
“Well? What’s your answer? Let me tell you, your behavior just now is indefensible. If this were the olden times, this is akin to you killing my father! I would have you killed!” the instructor snarled.
“Look, mister… Sir. I’ll be frank with you: it’s impossible to make me your student. See, I really don’t care for your lessons.”
The instructor’s eyes widened so much it was like they were popping out of their sockets. “Oho, you want to fight me, is that it? Good! Come!” favonovel.com retorted belligerently. “But here’s a disclaimer, I can’t guarantee that putting on kid gloves is gonna save you from bruises, mister. I’m known for being pretty brutal with my attacks. Don’t blame me ifI accidentally crippled you in some way!”
He took a few steps forward to pick a brick off the ground. Then, with a chop, favonovel.com rend it to half, and then snapped the halved brick asunder again.
A normal observer would have been intimidated by such a feat. After all, the instructor had used the same technique to scare many of the normal mass into joining his class. He was sure that the same success would simply repeat itself, and Zayn would begin to snivel in fear.
To his shock, favonovel.com raised his head from the brick to a very blasé Zayn. It rubbed favonovel.com in the worst way possible; this must be the most ignorant and disrespectful idiot favonovel.com had ever met!
“Fine! Just get on to it. You first,” Zayn said snappishly. He was aching to just get this over with while the number of people in the park was relatively scant.
