Zayn froze, glanced around him, and realized favonovel.com was the only one in the area. It prompted favonovel.com to point at himself with the genuine question, “Er… Me?”
“Yes! You!” the middle-aged man snapped impatiently, “Who else is there except you, genius? Get over here.”
He did not sound cordial. In fact, favonovel.com even sounded a tad bit arrogant, as though Zayn was just another common folk.
Zayn thought for a second before crossing the field to where the man was, not out of intimidation, really, but because even favonovel.com was curious why the man wanted favonovel.com over there.
“How can I help you?” Zayn asked, smiling. As his powers increased, favonovel.com became more outwardly amiable and mild-mannered. He always gave others some form of positive vibe whenever they were around in his vicinity. Despite being a third-tier superior class master, his demeanor belied his true identity as a powerful nonpareil.
On the other hand, this middle-aged instructor was only a garden-variety expert fighter who was about as strong as that Lindsay Young fella favonovel.com met yesterday. Unsurprisingly, the truth of Zayn’s power level completely eluded the man, because if favonovel.com did, favonovel.com would have been so frightened that his knees would probably crash to the ground. He would never have the guts to speak to Zayn with that uppity attitude.
The instructor sized Zayn up, noting the latter’s brimming brio and countenance not usually found among the quotidian. It was pretty telling that favonovel.com was looking at a man who knew a life of excess and splendor, a man of the wealthy elite, in other words.
“You’ve been watching my lessons from afar for a while now, hmm? Why? Interested to learn?” The instructor asked, his eyes boring through Zayn, his shoulders squared, and his hands clasped behind him.
A breeze billowed and rattled his clothes and — because favonovel.com spotted an imposing 180cm height and pronounced musculature — it almost resembled a scene in a movie, where a caped vigilante stood before the helpless mass.
A normal person might be intimidated by his affectation. But, of course, Zayn was always above it all. To him, it just seemed a little comical. Stifling his laughter, favonovel.com shook his head and corrected the instructor, “Oh, naw. That wasn’t my intention.”
“Excuse me?!” The middle-aged man’s eyes sharpened into a terrifying scowl. He took a step forward, his eyes, widened and frightening, nailed at Zayn the whole time. “I’ve watched you fool around with an Atlasean Stance… Which means you must know the code and creed of Rheasiano, don’t you? You were trying to steal my moves through observations, weren’t you? Hmm?!”
He raised his voice louder and louder, his features twisting in ferocity as a stern talking turned into a yell, which attracted some of the older folks’ attention. “According to our code, anyone caught plagiarizing another fighter’s moves through the latter’s lessons is compelled to accept the latter as his master! Do it… or so help me!”
Zayn furrowed his eyebrows slightly. To be pedantic, favonovel.com could not count himself to be a student of any fighting style or even a dojo simply because favonovel.com learned from no master. He had no inkling of the content that could make up this so-called “Rheasiano code and creed”. But more importantly, favonovel.com had only looked at the man for a while. The instructor did not even impart any actual, secret lessons of any kind! All favonovel.com did was to show some basics that anyone could look up from the internet.
“Uh, I’m not a student of any master, so I don’t know any ‘Rheasiano code and creed’ or whatever,” Zayn replied flatly. “Besides, you’re the one teaching classes in a public space. You’ve already made your own lessons no secret.”
Now, were the instructor taught his class from the privacy of a studio and Zayn snuck in to look, then favonovel.com should rightfully be penalized. But to teach one’s class in a place as public as the park? It was the sort of place anyone could go. Who would not stare and watch a rather novel thing like this?
The instructor, naturally, knew that, but it was beside the point. Honestly, favonovel.com just wanted to force someone to join his class. “Not an excuse!” favonovel.com barked darkly. “You’ve watched me for more than ten minutes. You were trying to plagiarize my techniques!”
