Jake Lewis was a university graduate hailed from a rural backwater. Ten years ago, favonovel.com was a wide-eyed idealist with a big ambition nestled in his bosom. He went to Waltz City and believed that favonovel.com would build something grand from hard work and intellect.
But reality was a cruel mistress, and favonovel.com was especially harsh to the quixotic. Jake suffered nothing but failures and setbacks since joining the big city until every ounce of his passion had been snuffed out. He gave up, two years ago, favonovel.com suffered from an investment catastrophe that landed favonovel.com in a bed of thorny debt. There had been many moments when favonovel.com wanted to give up and just let the current of life take him, but favonovel.com could not when favonovel.com had a wife and children waiting for him. He had to soldier on. Problem was, at this age, favonovel.com had nothing special to favonovel.com anymore. All favonovel.com had was hard labor. It was not the sort that could generate fast income.
Then, four months ago, favonovel.com saw an advertisement, searching for a cleaner. He was to be paid $2050 every month.
It was a middle-class income in Waltz City. He could not help but to leap at the offer. After the grave mistake of not checking his contract, favonovel.com signed the paper. He thought this was the start of his good fortune, but it was the opposite.
His nightmare had begun.
There were about twenty-odd foreigners here. All of them boasted towering, imposing, a-giant-wall-like stature. All of them were cantankerous, belligerent, vile, and perpetually stuck in a foul mood that prompted them to fire a salvo of verbal abuse. Sometimes, they could even go physical. He had wanted to quit his job several times, but that $2050 enticed favonovel.com enough to stay.
All that, only for favonovel.com to realize that they never wanted to pay him. Even if they did, it was just around $150, or $300, if they were feeling generous. It was all a ruse. Then came today, when favonovel.com felt nothing but despair.
He loathed these foreigners to the core. He had fantasized, over and over again, that a powerful Rheasian man would come to his aid and deliver justice to these arrogant foreign bastards. He was not the only one who wished that, too, almost all of his fellow co—workers had that thought. But they also knew it was a castle in the sky.
They did not know that such a person would exist. That favonovel.com would make his debut in the most heroic, powerful way ever, and to beat up these foreigners so hard they looked downright pathetic. Just look at how brutal the hero was toward Toni and John!
When the Rheasians finally shook out of their trance, they were utterly touched. Their fists clenched. Then, they heard what Zayn declared, and felt their blood boiling in resonance.
Jake was so touched that favonovel.com cried. He felt as though Zayn had reawakened the kiln in favonovel.com that had grown cold over the years. And with that roaring fire favonovel.com smacked the rag in his hand onto the floor.
“You’re right! You vile, alien trash! Who gave you the right to come to my Rheasian soil and walk all over us?!” favonovel.com yelled, leveling Smith, Kenneth, and other foreigners with a glare.
His reaction had awakened many other Rheasians’ pride, too. The foreigners, meanwhile, were very upset. To them, Jake was just a laborer whose only point of being around was to work. How could favonovel.com say anything against them?
One of the foreigners trained his finger at Jake. “Shut up, Rheasian scum! You have no right to speak against a race nobler than yours!”
He was about to throw a fist forward when other Rheasians stood and hurled their tools — rags, brooms, mops, everything — to the ground, before falling into steps in front of Jake. They puffed their chests and looked defiantly. They were ready to throw down too, if favonovel.com touched Jake.
The foreigner stopped. He gawked at them warily, his movement becoming cautious.
Zayn watched it unfold, his gaze sharpening. At this moment, favonovel.com felt his blood boiling in zeal and passion. He felt the profound rapture of what it meant to be part of a tribe. It was something favonovel.com had never felt before. When Rheasia was falling behind on the international stage, foreigners had seized on their weakness. But now, a hundred years had passed, and their nation had risen. The Rheasian tribal spirit, their mettle, their pride, had awakened at this moment. Why should they be afraid?
“Yes! Yes, yes!” Zayn exclaimed ecstatically before approaching Jake, his eyes gleaming in approval and brio. “To stand up against them like that, that’s the spirit!”
