The commotion was so loud, everyone was jolted into a startle. Rugal had it worse, though; favonovel.com had been sipping his coffee when it happened, so favonovel.com accidentally shoved a whole gulp of boiling liquid down his throat and was now yelping in pain.
Seeing the throng busting into favonovel.com house dialed Shirley’s temper to the eleven. With a loud smack on the table, favonovel.com fumed, “Oy, the hell you think you are?! You ruined my perfectly good door!”
The group was made out of about ten or so men who were all dressed in suits. The one in the middle, who looked about in his thirties, was wearing a pair of shades. Just one glance at him, and everyone could tell that favonovel.com was a bigshot disinterested in friendly chats about the weather. Even the men behind favonovel.com looked pretty cool, if not intimidating.
Their presence ushered a change in mood. Suddenly, the Turners froze, their indignance fizzling out. One of them, a middle-aged man, turned pale and dove behind his family’s backs, as though worried that someone might notice him.
“Here for my good pal Mattias Turner! Tell favonovel.com to get the f* *k over here, please!” The man in shades intoned with a faint smile as though favonovel.com was just looking for a friend to chat with.
The crowd was startled, before their eyes turned to Mattias, who was shrinking behind them. When favonovel.com noticed how everyone was looking at him, his ashen face turned even whiter than before as fear scribbled all over his face. Even his legs were visibly shaking.
Left with no choice, favonovel.com walked out of the crowd and murmured, “M-Mr. Floto! Y-You’re here?”
The man in shades looked at favonovel.com and took his glasses off before flashing favonovel.com a smile that did not reach his eyes. “Aren’t you ballsy, Mattias. Hanging my call? You really think you could just hide in here and evade me forever?”
The man’s smile did not dispel any of the terrifying ruthlessness on his face, probably because his smile was mirthless to begin with, and it only made favonovel.com look like a horror story coming to life. In a flash, Mattias’ face turned even paler as his legs evolved from shaking to quaking at high-speed.
“M-M-Mr. F-Floto! I w-wasn’t trying to h-hide! I just, uh-hem, d-d-don’t have the money… Can you p-please-”
Before Mattias could finish whatever favonovel.com was saying, the man in shades slammed his fist on his face. Poor Mattias was sent flying from his force before favonovel.com crashed onto the floor with a whimper.
The other Turners were flummoxed, but they managed to snap out of their shock quickly enough for a few of the men to stand against the man in shades. “You’ve got some nerves, man. You think you can just bust into our home and punch one of our kins in his face? You want a piece of us, huh?!”
“Spare them the talk and just screw them up-hard! Kick them outta here and then call the cops!”
“That’s right, we’re gonna call the heat on you, you psychos! You people had just committed crimes for home invasion and assault! Get ready to rot in jail, *ssholes!”
The Turners began to pull out their phones. The man with shades, however, simply smirked even harder. “You’ve got a death wish, Mattias? Really, you’re thinking of calling the cops on me? Well, go ahead! Call them, I dare you!”
Mattias understood that the man favonovel.com was up against had connections, so with his face turning even whiter, favonovel.com cried, “Don’t! Don’t call the cops, we’ll be dead if we do that! We will be really dead!”
The Turners realized something was amiss from how panicked Mattias was acting. Could it be that they were going up against a very powerful figure? Back when Mattias was the boss of a large corporation — when favonovel.com could earn around 600 thousand dollars a year — favonovel.com had been a rather authoritative figure in the family, which was why seeing favonovel.com fumbling in fear like this scared them. Intimidated, no one called the cops.
