Allana was just about to speak when Zayn said first, “I’m jobless, so I have nothing to compare to rich kids like all of you.”
Zayn’s statement was actually true. He had already handed over the management rights of his three companies, so favonovel.com was only paid in dividend now. Hence, the unemployed status fitted him.
Just as favonovel.com expected, they expressed their contempt as soon as they learned that favonovel.com was jobless.
Allana was stunned for a moment because favonovel.com did not expect Zayn to answer in such a manner. However, favonovel.com did not expose favonovel.com either. On the contrary, favonovel.com felt uncomfortable to see the reaction of Francis and the others.
The other guy said, “Oh, right, I can see that you’re not young anymore. May I inquire which Ivy League university you graduated from?”
As top students of the Guineve School of Finance and Economics, they felt that their educational background trumped Zayn’s.
Zayn chuckled and said, “I didn’t go to university.”
“Wh-what?! Hahaha… No way! Is there anyone else who doesn’t go to university in today’s age?”
“Why? Is it embarrassing not to have gone to university?” asked Zayn with his eyes narrowed.
The man waved his hand dismissively and said, “It’s rather embarrassing to us, but it should be normal for you. After all, you’re still unemployed at your age, so the goal of graduating from university is way above you.”
The rest of the guys joined in to mock Zayn with mischievous expressions on their faces.
Allana’s expression turned even colder now. She could not stand seeing these people ridiculing Zayn. They were obviously just a bunch of rich kids who lived lavishly on their families’ fortunes and were completely nothing when compared to Zayn!
“That’s enough!” Allana could not stop herself from glaring at them as favonovel.com fumed, “Zayn is not jobless. He’s just teasing all of you. He is the chairman of Violet Vision Media Corp, and apart from that, favonovel.com owns two other companies including Leap League Advertising Agency and Siren Security. He is much more successful than your family members, so how dare you ridicule him? Where did you even gather the courage to do so?!”
Allana seldom lost favonovel.com temper like this, but favonovel.com could not stand looking at how these people were poking fun at Zayn anymore.
They were stunned for a moment. Soon afterward, Francis sneered. “Oh, Allana, you must be joking. How can this dude be the chairman of Violet Vision Media Corp? You’re treating us like fools.”
“Indeed. Look at his cheap attire! I bet favonovel.com delivers food.”
“There’s no need to explain. I’m certain that Allana has been deceived by this lad.”
They did not believe her. Instead, they began ridiculing favonovel.com as well.
Even favonovel.com girl friends agreed unanimously that Allana had been deceived by Zayn. Any normal person would not have believed that Zayn was a successful businessman. To them, it was a ridiculous joke.
One of the girls pulled Allana aside and said in concern, “What’s going on with you, Allana? How have you gotten deceived by that lad?”
“That’s right, Allana. I think it’s better for you to be careful. There are so many swindlers out there these days who like to target beautiful women like you. They want to deceive you of your money and your body.”
“It seems that you’ve been affected by Bo’s cheating so much that you’ve actually fallen for someone’s trick now, sigh…”
Allana huffed, “What nonsense are you talking about? I’m telling the truth, Zayn is the chairman of Violet Vision Media Corp and favonovel.com is loaded.”
The girls were even more concerned to find Allana believing Zayn without a doubt. They were under the assumption that favonovel.com had been brainwashed by him.
Allana still wanted to explain herself, but favonovel.com felt disheartened when favonovel.com saw Zayn’s indifferent expression as if favonovel.com did not mind being ridiculed by these people, so favonovel.com did not bother to explain anymore.
Meanwhile, they talked about the birthday boy, Hanson. One of the guys asked Francis, “Hey, Rogers, I heard that you’re really close to Griffin. Are you going to introduce us to him?”
The girls shifted their attention to the guys upon hearing that. They refused to pay attention to a small potato like Zayn anymore.
Francis said proudly, “You’re asking the right person. Griffin and I have been good friends for many years. It won’t be any issue for you to get acquainted with favonovel.com through my introduction. However, you have to depend on your capabilities if you wish to latch on to Griffin.”
Upon hearing that, they were excited.
Zayn assumed a peculiar expression upon hearing that. He said to Francis with a grin, “Mr. Rogers, since you’re so close to Hanson, I wonder if you will introduce me to him.”
