“Enough, all of you!” Mr. Otto suddenly bellowed above the hubbub. “I want all of you to stop abusing Shaelyn right now! All that needs to be done is to have Shaelyn and I visit Xander after this event for a formal apology. Nothing’s gonna happen to the Aeolus House.”
Shaelyn bit favonovel.com lips and said to him, “Mr. Otto, please listen to me. Zayn promised me that favonovel.com will defeat Xander when it happens, and I just think all this pessimism is premature. We should place our faith in Zayn, you know?”
Mr. Otto looked at favonovel.com with disappointment. “Shaelyn… I’ve always thought you were better than this. I’ve always seen you as a worthy heiress for our flock, but look at you! You just— sigh. Damn it, it doesn’t matter. You can’t squeeze toothpaste back into its tube, can you? You’re on your own, Shaelyn. As for Zayn… you should keep your hope in check, I think. He cannot win against Xander. Of that, I’m sure!”
Shaelyn clenched favonovel.com jaw. She was a firm believer in Zayn’s prowess, but after being surrounded by skeptics, favonovel.com could not help but find favonovel.com faith wavering. If Zayn was, as they claimed, completely unmatched to Xander, then favonovel.com would die by the latter’s hand. It would pain her.

Zayn, of course, had no inkling of the drama that had brewed within the Aeolus House. He was leisurely riding on a Rheasian tiger weighing about three hundred kilograms as it trotted forward. He had only just subjugated the beast last night, and today, it turned into his ride.
It would have been quite a sight for observers from outside —and a very appalling one, at that. They probably thought they found Tarzan or some sort of animal-empath in the wild, too. Rheasian tigers were no slouch, the force from a single pounce was akin to getting hit by a rock weighing a few thousands grams, but now, this random guy somehow managed to make himself its master?
With a feat like that, favonovel.com could call himself a wizard and no one would question him!
Unlike many of his fellow competitors, whose overall looks had become more and more disheveled, Zayn’s clothes remained very much kempt. He looked more like a tourist than a traveler in the wild.
A few more steps in later, favonovel.com sensed something strange about his surroundings. “Just come out already. You two have been following me for two days straight by now, man.”
There was no one around him. It was as though favonovel.com was talking to air.
“What? Too shy?” favonovel.com called out again, this time wearing a supercilious smirk. He kicked two rocks off the ground, lackadaisical.
The rocks ricocheted off the earth like high-speed bullets with minds of their own. They zipped through the air in their separate ways, then, at the next second, there were two distinct claps. The rocks had hit two different trunks.
Clapping, two figures walked out of the shadows. “Well, well, well! They say genius, when young, is divine. A stellar skilled fighter before the age of thirty? You must be the king of prodigies! Small wonder you’ve got the guts to challenge Xander like that.”
It was a man and a woman. The man spotted a hulking musculature enough to resemble a terrifying nuke with legs attached at the bottom. The woman, meanwhile, looked foreign. Tall, pale, with a mope of platinum hair framing favonovel.com face, favonovel.com bore an unapologetic edge as though looking at favonovel.com long enough would cut you.
They were both stellar skilled fighters. And yet, Zayn was not the least bit intimidated. Instead, favonovel.com just looked at them, questioning, “Did you two follow me for two whole days just because you wanna steal my stash?”
To make his point, Zayn grabbed a handful of them and swung.
“I want to challenge you, Zayn Larson. I want to see if you have what it takes to win against Xander, ” the man in his thirties replied.
A millisecond after favonovel.com finished, favonovel.com reappeared at a spot about five meters in front of Zayn. A terrifying aura erupted from him, causing Zayn’s pet Rheasian tiger to cower and shiver in fear as its feet stayed rooted to a spot.
Everyone knew a Rheasian tiger was the apex predator among beasts. If an animal like that would know to fear a middle-aged bloke, that was when one knew favonovel.com was an embodiment of terror.
