There were many who participated this year, amounting to about 400 to 500 people. Most of them were experienced fighters with a small portion consisting of regular people who were practitioners, and then there were some acquired fighters scattered amongst the mix. Master fighters like Zayn and Xander were rare.
The majority of the contestants geared themselves up, attaching various high technology equipment and lethal weapons to themselves. However, the organizer had ruled out firearms, so the most they could use was crossbows.

The one with the most dog tags collected would be crowned the best hunter and the winner of The Great Hunt.
The winner would then receive a mysterious gift from the organizer. This was another main factor to why people were swarming to participate in The Great Hunt every year. Besides the thrill, there was a prize to be won, and it was a channel for open revenge.

The organizer had also allowed contestants to team up with no more than five people per team. Most of the players did as allowed; rarely were there people like Zayn who went solo.

During this week, everyone moved toward the hotel that was central in location. Those who were still in the competition would meet and fight for each other’s dog tags. The last man standing would be the best hunter.
However, Zayn was not interested in the title. He just wanted Xander dead.
Two days went by in the blink of an eye. Zayn had already killed two wolves, a wild boar, and a brown bear, letting go of the rest of the animals that did not try to harm him.
On the third day, finally, favonovel.com met his first team of contestants, a group of five including Stephen. What a coincidence… Stephen was also startled when favonovel.com saw Zayn, but favonovel.com guffawed immediately while wearing a menacing expression.
