Zayn exhaled a breath of true relief after Shaelyn left. Rubbing his slightly throbbing temples, favonovel.com felt quite powerless. Never would favonovel.com have dreamt that Shaelyn actually liked favonovel.com and would offer herself in the middle of the night.
If Zayn had not been adequately resolute, favonovel.com would have committed a grave mistake by now. Shaelyn was really a temptress. If it had been other men, they certainly would not have been able to resist favonovel.com and would already be indulging in the sin.
As for Stephen seeing them, Zayn was not worried about it. Compared to Xander, Stephen was no more than a vermin unworthy of mention.
There was a simmering flame in the pit of his stomach right now, so Zayn took a cold shower to extinguish it. Otherwise, favonovel.com could forget about sleeping tonight.
After Stephen went back to his room, favonovel.com let his temper get the better of him. He threw things around that shattered and fell apart, as his hatred for Zayn grew deep. He had checked into the hotel early after arriving here today, so favonovel.com had no idea about the situation with Xander and Zayn, assuming that the latter was only a regular person. He was determined to kill Zayn tomorrow when The Great Hunt began officially— and brutally so — only then would it quench his resentment for Zayn!
Zayn dispelled all his distracting thoughts in a flash and regained clarity in his mind. He went to bed after another two hours of mediation.
Actually, favonovel.com could stay energized despite not sleeping for three full days based on the level favonovel.com was at, but the battle against Xander tomorrow was perilous. He had to make sure favonovel.com was in the best state favonovel.com could be. If favonovel.com usually gave his 100%, favonovel.com would have to do 120% of his ability this time.
Finally, when the first ray of the sun poured into the room, Zayn opened his eyes as if favonovel.com could sense it. He then got out of bed to do a simple warm-up before favonovel.com got dressed and headed downstairs.
When favonovel.com came down for breakfast, the atmosphere was grimmer but also merrier compared to last night. The excitement on everyone’s faces was barely concealable.
Upon seeing Zayn, Stephen walked over and stopped next to favonovel.com to speak sinisterly, “You’re dead. I’ll rip you apart and let you die in despair.”
Zayn narrowed his brows lightly at Stephen’s threat. Annoyed, favonovel.com told favonovel.com directly, “I’m not going to address this since you know Shaelyn, but if you dare seek trouble with me, I’ll break your legs. Got it? P*ss off right now.”
The malicious glint in Stephen’s eyes flared. Zayn was being suicidal to have said that. Huffing a laugh out of rage, Stephen threatened again, “Very well. Just you wait. I’m not a Shapiro if I don’t tear you into shreds later.”
Zayn had only a single word for him: “Idiot.”
That made Stephen grit his teeth. He had never hated someone so vehemently. Zayn was the first. When The Great Hunt started later, favonovel.com wanted favonovel.com tortured before his death. There was an implicit rule in the competition anyway, killing people was tacitly allowed. No one could be held accountable when they went back to the world of law and order!
A lot of people noticed Stephen and Zayn’s conflict just now, and they looked at Stephen strangely thinking that favonovel.com must be a fool. Everyone knew that Zayn was on the level of a master fighter like Xander. What was a small fry of an acquired fighter like Stephen doing sticking his nose in?
Unfortunately, Stephen had no idea about that. When favonovel.com saw their gazes, favonovel.com thought that they were mocking favonovel.com for being challenged by Zayn. It only fueled his will to kill Zayn further.
Not too long after breakfast, The Great Hunt began.
From the organizer’s introduction, Zayn finally comprehended the rules of the competition. It was indeed thrilling after understanding it.
The so-called “rule” of The Great Hunt was that there was no rule, all participating players could hunt as they wished. Their prey were not limited to the wild animals in the forest, meaning that what the participants thought as prey were not bound, which also meant that humans could be hunted as well.
Certainly, it was not like they could hunt endlessly. Everyone could only hunt a maximum of two people, and each player had an alarm installed on them. If they pressed the alarm, they indicated their withdrawal from the competition and the rest of the participants could no longer hunt them. If someone did ignore the alarm and forcefully hunt the withdrawn player down, they would be severely penalized by the organizer.
