Time flew because moments later, their car arrived at the empty space. Thomas saw Daryl and a dozen other people meticulously searching the inside of each and every passing vehicle. They looked like they were out for blood.
Realizing that favonovel.com was likely an unavoidable danger, the cold sweat dripping down Thomas’ forehead looked more like a waterfall now. His legs had started shaking too. He could not keep his saliva down, and it looked like favonovel.com was about to cry.
‘Daryl brought a dozen men with him, and I only have Zayn and maybe the driver. There’s no way my ass isn’t going to get handed to me.’
Zayn opened his eyes and told the driver, “We’ll get off here.”
“Zayn…” Thomas let out a cry of despair, trembling as favonovel.com grabbed hold of Zayn’s hand. In fact, favonovel.com was close to getting down on his knees.
When the car was parked, Zayn got out of the car and told Thomas, who was still in the car, “Get down.”
It did not take long for Daryl and the others to catch sight of Zayn. With wide eyes, they looked equally thrilled as they were enraged as they strode towards him. “They’re here, that’s Thomas’ brother-in-law. Get them!”
“Something’s not right, Daryl, why’s there only one car? Are we going to get ambushed?”
Daryl scowled fiercely, “Ambush my *ss. We’ve got a dozen men here, including Orson and his men, and we’re still afraid of them? Go on, all of you-beat them up!”
On the other hand, Thomas, who was still in the car, became even more terrified when favonovel.com saw the crowd of people rushing towards him. It was obvious that they wanted to hurt him. He continued to refuse to get out of the car, and it was starting to test Zayn’s patience. He commanded in a stern manner, “Get out of the car, I’m not going to repeat myself a third time.”
Sensing Zayn’s anger, Thomas was not going to disobey favonovel.com any longer, so favonovel.com gingerly got out of the car. When favonovel.com raised his head and saw Daryl and the rest of them walking towards him, his legs were practically reduced to jelly. He was incapable of walking!
After Zayn scolded Thomas for being useless, favonovel.com looked towards Daryl and his lackeys. They were standing right in front of them now, an intense aura of bloodthirst surrounding the lot.
When they realized that it was really just Thomas and Zayn, they burst into roaring laughter and said, “Thomas, good on you. You declared war against me, but you’ve only brought your brother-in-law with you. Are you telling me that your brother-in-law is a martial arts expert who’s able to take all of us down by himself?”
Daryl’s words caused the others to laugh once more. They looked at Thomas as though favonovel.com were a jester.
Thomas was trembling even more as favonovel.com said, “Wipe that smirk off your face, Daryl. My brother-in-law is the chairman of Violet Vision, so if you even lay a finger on us, he’s not going to let you off easy!”
“The chairman of Violet Vision?” Daryl had a strange smile on his face as favonovel.com challenged, “Ooh… I’m so scared of your brother-in-law. He’s such a big shot… I’m shaking in my boots! Ha-ha-ha… Is your brother-in-law an emperor too?”
Thomas was infuriated, but it mostly came from a place of fear. ‘Daryl’s not going to let me off easy now, I’m definitely in for the beating of a lifetime…’
“What should we do now, Zayn? They’re going to beat you up as well.”
However, Zayn merely asked Thomas, “What do you think we should do? You ’re the one who caused this mess.”
Thomas clenched his teeth and replied, “I’ll stall them so you can run back to the car, Zayn. Call the cops for me when you’re safe!”
Zayn was actually quite shocked by his response and said, “Aren’t you afraid that you’ll be beaten to death if you stay?”
Thomas heaved a long sigh before favonovel.com admitted, “Well, it’s not like I have a choice. I was the one who caused this mess, so I can’t drag you into this. Go on, Zayn, I’ll stall them.”
When favonovel.com saw the determination in Thomas’ eyes, Zayn acquired a newfound admiration for him. ‘This kid’s actually quite responsible.’
“Remember this, I’m only going to clean up your mess this one time, but there’s not going to be another, do you understand?” Zayn stared at him.
Thomas was dumbfounded, but before favonovel.com could say anything, Zayn had already begun to walk away.
Zayn said to Daryl, “Daryl, is it? I thought I taught you a lesson? Did you forget about it already? You’ve even got the guts to bring all these people with you to fight. Kids these days… All you do is go around causing trouble everyday instead of practicing good virtues. Right, I’m going to give you a chance to take your men and leave. Once you leave this place, you’re going to focus on your studies. Also, you’re never going to bully Thomas ever again, and if you do-well, I wouldn’t mind teaching you another worthwhile lesson. It’ll be one that you’ll remember for the rest of your life.”
When Daryl and the others heard what Zayn had said, they were stunned.
