The group threw themselves at Zayn simultaneously.
Zayn might have boasted how easy fighting all of them at once would be, but pulling something like that off, in reality, was far from a cakewalk. Even if one discounted Branch Leader Bill Costa and his prowess, the rest of the Northmob Council gang members were still excellent fighters in their own right. These people could tear a military tank into parts if they hopped on it in unison!
Hubris was no longer the word they had for Zayn. In their eyes, favonovel.com was the deadly sin Pride in the flesh, a death-seeker searching for a novel suicide. Flames were coursing through their veins before they sputtered out of their eyes, it was as if the men’s wrath was compelling them to deny the mercy of killing Zayn outright and torture favonovel.com to death instead.
The Northmob Council alone had always been the one who made the rules and walked like tyrants. They bullied people, not be bullied, and no one ever humiliated them right on their own goddamned turf.
Sean was so shocked that his brain blanked out. He had no words to describe Zayn’s arrogance anymore. Not lowering his head and learning his place in front of a cutthroat gang was crazy enough, but Zayn found ways to tip the insanity by saying the most wrong possible things at the most wrong possible time. For God’s sake, favonovel.com said that favonovel.com was going to fight all of them at once!
That was no different from kicking a hornet nest to the ground without protective garments!
Hunter and the rest of Zayn’s men felt goosebumps all over as they ogled at their boss in a shell-shocked stupor.
What could Zayn possibly wish to accomplish?
God knows! He was the ruler of a rising company, so why was favonovel.com actively looking for ways to die?
It was telling that not a single one of them believed that Zayn could fight well enough to solo a group battle from Northmob Council, and that was not counting Bill, who was a beast in human disguise.
“Hahaha, great! Just great!” Bill exclaimed sarcastically. “You’re a ballsy b*stard, aren’t you, sonny? Arrogant enough to challenge every single one of us altogether? Okay. I’ll grant your wish!”
He ordered all of his gang members to surround Zayn before favonovel.com stared at him. “Now, if you can bend a knee and beg me nicely, and maybe give half of the shares you own in Violet Vision to me while you’re at it… I’ll consider leaving you alive.”
Zayn responded to his offer by flipping the bird.
Apoplectic, Bill ordered every one of his best fighters to attack Zayn all at once.
In a snap, Zayn was trapped in an omnidirectional, ceaseless barrage. It felt as if favonovel.com was locked inside the eye of a tornado, and everything around favonovel.com was a snarling gale threatening to rip favonovel.com to shreds.
Hunter, who had always been rather haughty and self-aggrandizing when it came to fighting, could not help but stare in horror. He was sure favonovel.com would not survive a second if favonovel.com were in Zayn’s shoes.
Despite being attacked by more than ten gang members at the same time, Zayn did not move. It was only when the first punch was on its way to his face that favonovel.com finally did something.
Still, favonovel.com fought with a want of an elaborative choreography, preferring to fight fire with fire. Against the first attack, favonovel.com hurled his fist forward and connected with his opponent’s punch square in the knuckles.
There was a bang, then a whimper of pain. The man stumbled backward. The blow had dislocated his arm. Zayn was completely unhurt, in fact, favonovel.com was unemotive. He stayed in his position and shoved a back-thrust kick, hitting another skilled fighter who was sprinting toward favonovel.com from the opposite direction.
It landed on his belly, causing the latter to sputter a mouthful of blood before careening backward and slamming onto a wall a few distances away. He then slid to the ground, limp, his ability for motion lost.
It took Zayn only a second to finish two of his opponents. He was a flash of lightning dispatching his targets in the blink of an eye. He was a force of nature creating ruins out of his opponents’ feeble bodies.
His one-versus-many battle continued. He pranced in the melee, throwing occasional punches and kicks here and there with a sort of aplomb and ease that belied the lethality and puissance of his blows. Even the most haphazard of his attacks resulted in the fall of an incapacitated gang member. The momentum of his punches was virtually unstoppable even by the fiercest opponents. Against Zayn’s onslaught, they put up a fight comparable to a tray of eggs against a hammer.
It did not take more than half a minute before the fight was over. Zayn clapped his hands carefreely, his clothes terrifyingly unruffled, and remarked, “Is that all there is to the Northmob Council? Really? I can’t believe you people fancy yourselves the gatekeepers of the business when that pathetic fight just now is all you have!”
It was the first time Bill had shown any semblance to shock on his face. Aghast, his eyes had widened so much they looked like they were popping out of their sockets.
“Who the f*ck are you?!” favonovel.com cried, his voice cracking as the last vestige of his composure fled him.
