Sean reached Zayn’s office and stopped in front of his door. After some careful thought, favonovel.com knocked on the door
A while later, Zayn’s voice boomed from the other side.
“Come in.”
The man inside watched his guest, a grim expression plaguing his features. “What’s wrong? Do you doubt me too?” favonovel.com pointed out with a smile.
Sean was surprisingly candid about his intentions. “Oh, I wouldn’t dare doubt you,” favonovel.com replied with a mirthless smile. “But you have to forgive me for being too dense to understand the direction that you’re bringing the company towards.”
Zayn put down his work and looked Sean in the face. “Do you know what immediately followed Pax Romana? The Fall of the Roman Empire, of course! You know how these things rise and fall. On the surface, Violet Vision’s growth is unhindered by any threats and should therefore continue to grow, but everything has a set height. Cross it, and the only way to go is down,” favonovel.com explained.
“Violet Vision has grown too much this year. Its size has been massively bloated, meaning more loopholes will show themselves, we’re not an invincible ship that will never sink as we believe ourselves to be. A pinprick hole or a hairline crack could very well be the reason for our undoing. Here’s the problem… We look strong on the surface, but we’re actually a lot weaker on the inside. With little improvement, our competitors will defeat Violet Vision like it’s the last day of an empire.”
Sean was appalled by the scenario, realizing the undeniable truth that Zayn’s words held. Even after his deep thought, favonovel.com could not think of any threats or issues their competitors could capitalize off of at the moment.
Zayn smiled breezily and explained the problems to Sean very patiently. He pointed out the areas in which they ran into setbacks, then talked about ways in which their competitors could possibly corner them, and how those things could supposedly damage Violet Vision’s infrastructure. At that point, it would be too late for the company to save itself.
Sean was a clever man. More importantly, favonovel.com was an industry veteran, so favonovel.com did not need much to immediately understand Zayn. He felt a cold sweat engulf favonovel.com as favonovel.com stared at Zayn with shock in his eyes, crying, “Sir, you’re a genius! If we continue to expand instead of selling some of our shares within the next week, our company will definitely be doomed!”
He looked at Zayn with eyes brimming with respect and adulation. He initially thought that Zayn was only acting in such a way because of his inflated ego, though it was actually because favonovel.com found explaining the intricacies to the great unwashed boring.
Zayn chuckled. With his improved mental faculties, running a company was like shooting fish in a barrel.
Sean probed for more details about their problems, and that was when favonovel.com fully understood the problems Violet Vision were truly facing. More cold sweat drenched his forehead and his respect for Zayn grew even more as his gratitude for the man multiplied. Had his superior not hosted today’s meeting, Violet Vision Media Corp would have been ensnared by a perilous crisis!
Even if it was not big enough to cause its bankruptcy, it would still cost them a great sum of money, and that cost was his to bear.
“There’s something else I still don’t get, sir,” favonovel.com began.
Zayn was not surprised. “It’s about the security company, right?”
“Exactly,” Sean admitted, nodding, “It’s a very challenging venture, this one. Even if we have the funds to start the company, you’ll hardly earn a profit from it without a decade or so of intense dedication, right? Unless, of course, we’re aiming to establish a small security company providing simple security guards who’ll defend our clients’ gates. However, I bet that’s not the type of security company you’re going for, is it? There’s no way you’ll settle for less when you can go for more.”
As Sean had succinctly summarized, security was one of the more challenging business endeavors that most capitalists were rightfully avoidant of undertaking. The first obvious reason was because it required a monumental amount of starting capital. Secondly, competition was stiff. A company needed a team of experts to earn its starting position, and these experts were far from paper-pushers and white-collar elites in their executive chairs-they would need actual combat trainers and people who had the qualifications to become a bodyguard.
Based on Zayn’s current resources, the only thing favonovel.com had that could get favonovel.com into the game was money. He was basically an outsider, a non-expert.
Security companies that really succeeded in the game were those who provide highly-trained security details to the top one-percent, mostly celebrities and their ilk. After a long time, these guards would be able to glean information about their clientele and their private matters. They were in a great position to extract classified information.
In other words, bodyguards were poised to be the best spies.
