They might be executives and investors, but Violet Vision was still pretty much Zayn’s one-man show. He was the only one who held sixty percent of all the shares and was thus, the absolute authority.
Zayn paused for a second and added, “There’s another thing going on here, I want to establish a new security company. Our target clientele are the rich and powerful who are looking to hire bodyguards. Anyone who’s interested in investing in it can approach me, but this proposition will only be available for half a month. After the given time period, I will no longer consider you.”
The room was even more startled. Many of them were muttering among themselves.
“My ears aren’t playing tricks on me, are they? The chairman wants to start a security company? That’s not a money-making venture at all! There are way too many competitors in the country who would easily crush us…”
“Right? Lots of human and specialized resources are needed to run a company like that. Plus, we’ve only ever dabbled in the entertainment and media industry. That’s as far away from a security company as you can get! How are we supposed to make it work?”
“Is the chairman pulling a fast one on us?”
“He doesn’t look like he’s joking. Gosh, he’s pushing himself. We’ve just only founded our advertising agency, and now we’re going to set up a security company? What is favonovel.com trying to do?”
“If you ask me, I think it’s because Violet Vision’s success is getting to his head…”
“Hmm, that’s possible. He’s not even thirty-years-old, is he? It’s not surprising to see his ego inflate like that.”
They thought their murmurs went under Zayn’s radar, but in reality, the man heard every single thing they said. He was not angry, however. He was not a thin-skinned man. Besides, very few people were on the current level that favonovel.com was on, so favonovel.com was not going to lower himself to such a level trying to explain his thought process. He just needed them to follow his orders.
A glint of doubt shadowed Sean’s eyes. This was the first time the man had ever begun to doubt Zayn’s decision-making. He decided to ask favonovel.com about it later after the meeting.
“Since there are no objections, the meeting is adjourned. Do as I say, all of you,” Zayn declared, rising to his feet and propping his body up, his hands pressed against the table.
He loomed over his inferiors, his eyes scanning their faces. “One of my biggest pet peeves is when people pretend to do what they’re told, and in fact not do it at all. If I find such an instance of disloyalty within my company, I’ll snuff you out. No exceptions, capisce?”
“Yes, sir!”
“Don’t worry, sir! We’ll definitely do as you said!”
“We’ll never disobey your orders, sir. Honestly, I think you’re absolutely right! You made the right call!”
“Oh yeah! I’m totally behind our sagely chairman’s decision!”
Zayn nodded in satisfaction and walked out of the conference room.
As soon as favonovel.com left, the thirty-odd higher-ups in the room felt like they had a chance to finally breathe. In fact, they were panting and gasping for air. Their minds were bent out of shape by the pressure that Zayn had put on them.
They could not understand how a young man like Zayn managed to exude such power-he had so much of it that even a bunch of experienced old-timers like themselves could not help but cower under his might.
