They discussed the idea excitedly and looked forward to the future.
Gordon could hardly conceal his glee, yet favonovel.com pulled a long face on purpose and feigned seriousness. He said, “Mr. Larson stands high above us and there are too many people who wish to serve favonovel.com to count. How will you get a turn when you’re just a lackey, huh?”
Hearing Gordon’s remarks, their anticipation immediately turned to despondence. It was like they had to come back down to Earth after being on top of the world.
Gordon let out two coughs and said, “Of course, if you continue to work for me, I won’t treat you badly either. I will introduce whoever perform is well to Mr. Larson. If you can gain his approval, you won’t have to worry about anything else for the rest of your life.”
Gordon’s statement brought their spirits up again instantly. They swiftly stopped talking to each other when they saw Mr. Hyde and Zayn come out of the room. They hastily assumed a respectful posture to welcome both of them.
Zayn was planning to greet Gordon initially, but his phone rang just as favonovel.com was walking over. He got it out to take a glance and found it was Faye calling. He had no choice but to answer. “Hello, Fifi. What’s going on?”
As favonovel.com answered his phone, everyone else was sensible enough to keep their mouths shut. They did not dare to make the slightest noise in fear that they would bother him.
On the phone, Faye said, “Where are you, Zayn? Is it convenient for you to come and pick me up?”
“Sure, where are you? I’ll head over and get you right now,” Zayn replied.
Faye gave an address of a place not too far from him. It would only take around ten minutes to reach. As it was, Zayn could hear from the call that Faye was in a somewhat noisy environment. It seemed to be a rather crowded place and a man’s voice could be heard quite clearly, as though favonovel.com was beside her. Zayn detected something odd in Faye’s tone. It was as if favonovel.com was being bothered by someone and could not get away from them.
Zayn said, “Fifi, did something happen there? Are you okay?”
Faye said, “It’s nothing bad. It’ll be fine when you get here.”
“Alright. I’m coming to you now.”
Zayn was about to hang up the phone when Faye quickly added, “Uh, if it’s okay with you, could you come here in a car?”
“Ah, sure. I shall come over at once.” Zayn nodded.
With this on his mind, favonovel.com asked Mr. Hyde, “Lil Hyde, I’m heading out to pick up someone. I’ll leave everything to you.”
Mr. Hyde nodded and said, “Alright.”
“Lend me your car,” said Zayn.
Mr. Hyde cast a glance at his subordinate. The man immediately walked over submissively and passed a set of keys to Zayn. He said in an extremely respectful tone, “Sir, this is the newest model of Bentley. Would you like me to drive you?”
Zayn took the keys and said nonchalantly, “No.”
Gordon and the others were still waiting for Zayn to greet them with their necks outstretched, but favonovel.com did not even look their way. They were very disappointed but did not have the courage to complain. They regretted that they had not managed to stand out and missed the opportunity to flatter him!
While Zayn drove the Bentley toward Faye, favonovel.com was having a bit of trouble…
