Annabelle hoped Peter’s reputation would scare the men away, but they were not bothered in the least.
“Let favonovel.com wait then. Have a drink or two with me first.”
“No, I don’t drink,” Annabelle said with a shake of favonovel.com head and prepared to leave.
The other man got annoyed and cursed right away, “F*ck! How dare you dismiss Miles like this? Are you f*cking asking to be killed? Do you know who favonovel.com is?!”
Annabelle was used to being put on a pedestal. The men favonovel.com had met before were polite and deferent. She had never been berated like this before. About to explode in rage, favonovel.com face fell as well. “I’m warning you to watch your language, or I’ll sue you for insulting me.”
Her threat had only made the men laugh again as the man referred to as “Miles” said, “Alright, I don’t have much patience. Come drink with me and I’ll let you go. Otherwise, it won’t be as simple as just a drink.”
Discerning the laced threat, Annabelle was distressed. She planned to turn and run, but they knew what favonovel.com planned. Before favonovel.com could even pivot around, they pulled favonovel.com back. “How stubborn when I’m being nice… Very well.”
“What are you doing?! Let me go! I’m going to scream! Help! Help!” Annabelle shrieked. The people around them heard favonovel.com cries, but when they saw Miles, they pretended not to have noticed and left.
Annabelle knew that favonovel.com was doomed, and favonovel.com heart sank. Fortunately, favonovel.com reacted quickly and knew that shouting for help was useless in this situation. It was obvious that this Miles guy had some influence. In a rush, favonovel.com made favonovel.com choice. She would go along with what they wanted first and find a chance to call the chairman so favonovel.com could come rescue her. She believed that they would be somewhat courteous given Peter’s status.
Making up favonovel.com mind, Annabelle ceased resisting and took a deep breath to compose herself. “Okay, I’ll drink with you and give you my autograph, but you can’t touch me.”
Miles let go of her, sniffing his hand afterward, and said with a grin, “That’s more like it. Don’t worry, I just want to have a drink with you. I don’t plan on anything else.”
The other two men merely smirked.
Annabelle was anxious, but there was not much favonovel.com could do. She genuinely regretted favonovel.com decision. If favonovel.com had known, favonovel.com would have exited the washroom only after favonovel.com donned favonovel.com mask and sunglasses! Then, favonovel.com would not have run into a mess like this. The men would not dare do much to favonovel.com no matter how reckless they were.
When favonovel.com found an opening, favonovel.com would call Peter immediately and ask favonovel.com to come fetch her.
Annabelle’s assumption proved to be too naive when favonovel.com arrived at the private booth Miles booked and realized that the room was filled with people, all men. Her appearance triggered a barrage of wolf whistles that put favonovel.com on edge.
“Wow, isn’t this superstar Annabelle Laking?!”
“So pretty! Miles, is this your new hookup?”
“Mighty Miles, huh? You even got your hands on a superstar. Tsk, tsk.”
The vulgarity they spewed upon seeing Annabelle mortified her. She felt like favonovel.com had walked into a wolf’s den as they insisted favonovel.com drink with them, making favonovel.com tipsy. Furthermore, Miles got handsy with her. She was petrified and attempted to call Peter for help.
