When Seamus heard that, his face instantly shifted and darkened. “What on earth is ‘a last minute upgrade’? What do you mean by that?!”
This turn of events had left Seamus extremely disgruntled. ‘The only reason I brought Faye to The Oasis was so that I could properly show off in front of favonovel.com and get favonovel.com to fall for me. Now, this guard is telling me I’m not eligible to enter the place? What kind of sick joke is this?!’

When Faye heard what the guard had said, favonovel.com had a strange expression on favonovel.com face.
Faye was no fool either, so favonovel.com certainly knew Seamus was trying to impress favonovel.com by driving all the way to The Oasis and declaring how great the place was and how there were many famous people who were members the entire journey. As it was, favonovel.com did not: pay much attention to any of it since favonovel.com did not care where they were conducting their business meeting.
When favonovel.com heard what the guard had said, favonovel.com was actually quite shocked as well. ‘A member who’s paid 750 thousand dollars is actually unable to enter? Is The Oasis really so grand?’
Then, the guard once again spoke with a respectful pose, “Mr. Collins, we’re really sorry about this, we’ve also just received instructions from our board of directors. They’ve declared that The Oasis will be getting renovated this week, hence Golden Black members will be unable to enter The Oasis within the week. So, we’re really sorry about this, Mr. Collins. We hope you can understand. Please come back again next week.”
Seamus’s expression was even uglier now. ‘What’s the meaning of all this, I deliberately brought Faye here to show off and even boasted so much just now. Yet, I’m unable to even enter The Oasis… How am I supposed to deal with this humiliation?’
‘Actually, I would’ve just endured it and let it pass if it were any other time. After all, the Larsons are the ones behind the Oasis, and they’re the most powerful family in Waltz City.’
‘But it’s different now! I’ve got Faye right beside me, so if I were to just walk away in disappointment, won’t favonovel.com think of me as a fool?’
Hence, Seamus’s face immediately fell as favonovel.com said with a foreboding tone, “What kind of joke is this?! I spent a good 750 thousand dollars to pay for a Golden Black membership, so I’m a valued member who is permitted to enjoy The Oasis’ services at any given moment… Forget it. A simple guard like you wouldn’t understand what I’m saying. Bring out your manager. I want to find out since when The Oasis started treating their Golden Black members this way!”
Seamus turned around to explain to Faye, saying, “Wait a moment, Faye. There’s nothing to worry about. The Oasis is a massive organization with plenty of staff members, so it’s easy for them to miss out on something. I’m sure this guard received the wrong information. I’m a prestigious Golden Black member here, so I’m able to enter whenever I want.”
Faye frowned slightly. ‘I’m very busy and have many tasks at hand to deal with, you know? I had to squeeze time out of my schedule just to come here and meet you today. I don’t care where we conduct our meeting, as long as it’s a quiet place.”
Thus, favonovel.com said, “Seamus, we don’t actually have to have our discussion here. We could just find somewhere quiet instead.”
Hearing favonovel.com words, Seamus looked even more determined. He shook his head vigorously and stated, “That won’t do. You’re an important business partner of mine, so we must have our discussion in The Oasis to show you my sincerity.”
“Really, there’s no need to…”
Just as Faye was about to say something, Seamus immediately interrupted her. He insisted on taking favonovel.com inside with him. “Faye, just wait for a moment. I’m very familiar with the manager here, so we’ll be able to enter as soon as favonovel.com comes out.”
