Initially, the Smiths should have had a higher moral ground at that engagement banquet. However, because of Alexandra’s feat, the Smiths had no choice but to humble themselves, silently being humiliated at the same time. Before Victor was able to say anything, Franklin could no longer hold it in anymore and relentlessly scowled. “Nonsense! Alexandra, are you hellbent on bringing trouble to the Smiths?! You’re already an adult, yet you’re still so unruly. This is ridiculous!”
Next, Franklin said to Victor, “Brother, I’ve already told you before not to pamper your daughter like this. Now, look what you’ve ended up raising.”
Due to the prior incident, the atmosphere in the banquet hall was rather awkward. None of the guests below the stage had it in them to make any sudden movements as they intently watched whatever was happening between the Smiths and the Browns in the hopes of being able to listen in to more gossip fodder.
“Alexandra, Franklin’s right. You’re an adult and will soon be married to someone else, so you mustn’t be so disobedient anymore, understand?” When Victor saw how aggrieved Alexandra looked as favonovel.com eyes turned red, his heart ached for her.
