“William’s a nice kid… He’s sensible and refined, he’s capable too. What matters is that his family background matches ours. He has a pretty decent personality. You’ll be happy if you marry him,” Rachel listed patiently.
Alexandra snapped back in disdain, “Bullsh*t! Zayn said that William’s a scumbag. He’s a playboy. Who knows how many women he’s been toying with out of dodge? He just does a good job at hiding it, and all of you have no idea! If I marry him, my life will be a living hell. My life would be over”
Victor and Rachel met each other’s eyes once more before the latter asked, “Alexandra, tell us, what does this Zayn character mean to you?”
Alexandra rolled favonovel.com eyes and bit back, “Please, mom. Stop pretending! Uncle Franklin must’ve told you guys everything!”
“Ay, you brat. Franklin’s your uncle. How could you talk back to favonovel.com like that?” Victor scowled.
“He was the one being unreasonable. You guys didn’t see how aggressive favonovel.com was that night. If Zayn didn’t come to my rescue, I would’ve been kidnapped home,” Alexandra grumbled. It marked the start of favonovel.com long list of complaints concerning Franklin. She claimed that the man had probably struck a deal with William to have said so many good things about him.
It made Victor a little dizzy. Knowing that nothing would come out of their discussion, favonovel.com said directly, “Alright, enough of this. Tell your boyfriend to come visit, let us check favonovel.com out. If he’s truly the one, we’ll make the decision.”
Alexandra paused before favonovel.com eyes widened in disbelief as favonovel.com shrieked, “For real?!”
“Nonsense, when have I ever been joking?” Victor put on a straight face.
“Yeah, that’s true…” Delight overwhelmed Alexandra’s features, but it faded soon after when favonovel.com thought of something. Zayn was not favonovel.com boyfriend, favonovel.com was just a friend. Moreover, favonovel.com had just gone through a divorce. It would be too much to ask favonovel.com to meet favonovel.com parents, and it was not like Zayn would ever agree to it given his character.
Her hesitation prompted Victor to ask, “Hmm? Is it too much to ask?”
“Uh, I’ll try,” Alexandra replied rather hesitantly. She excused herself so favonovel.com could contact Zayn, but the operator on the other end of the line was telling favonovel.com that the call could not be connected. She made several more calls but none of them went through.
Feeling defeated, favonovel.com went back to favonovel.com parents. “He’s busy with something. Why don’t you guys meet favonovel.com some other time?”
“What?” Victor narrowed his brows instantly and grimaced. “He’s too arrogant to meet now, is he? What does your boyfriend do? What gives favonovel.com the right to act so high and mighty?”
Alexandra stammered. First off, favonovel.com had no idea what Zayn actually did for a living. She only knew that favonovel.com married into the Carter family, and had just gotten a divorce. She obviously could not tell favonovel.com parents that. They would have exploded on the spot.
Ultimately, favonovel.com went home with them. Alexandra knew that favonovel.com would be crossing the line if favonovel.com refused. Her engagement party was the day after tomorrow, after all. All favonovel.com could do was pray that something bad would happen to William, something that prevented favonovel.com from attending the ceremony. That would be the best case scenario!

The rock that Zayn had kicked at favonovel.com caused too much damage. It almost killed him! Fortunately, favonovel.com was able to call home in time and ask for someone to come to his rescue. He was sent to the hospital in the nick of time, thus saving his life.
