Faye did not notice the sinister look that rapidly flashed through Howard’s eyes. Instead, favonovel.com felt happy for Howard because favonovel.com regretted his mistakes. She had a rather close relationship with Howard in the past. Howard would always defend favonovel.com when favonovel.com was bullied in school back then. They drifted apart as they grew up and the family’s interests got involved. Howard slowly became more selfish and ruthless. If favonovel.com could truly become his old self, it was a happy, worthy cause to celebrate.
She was tired, yet favonovel.com still chose to join Howard for dinner. She immediately had some shut-eye as soon as favonovel.com got into the car. She was planning to get a quick rest. Faye had been bustling about in the company for a day, so favonovel.com felt very relaxed listening to the soft tune playing in the car after favonovel.com let down favonovel.com guard. Before favonovel.com knew it, favonovel.com fell asleep. As a result, favonovel.com failed to notice that Howard was driving in a different direction.
He was not planning to head to Michelin but somewhere else entirely. He felt both excited and nervous when favonovel.com noticed Faye had fallen asleep as favonovel.com drove. Howard cracked into a mysterious smile and said, “We are going to Michelin. You see, there’s another Michelin outlet located here. We’re going to be there soon.”
Faye furrowed favonovel.com brows. “Is that so? Why haven’t I heard of this before?”

Howard smiled radiantly and said, “It’s a newly opened outlet, so, of course, you’re unaware of it.”
Upon hearing Howard’s answer, Faye felt more at ease. In favonovel.com point of view, Howard was favonovel.com cousin and they were bonded by blood no matter what. Regardless of how immoral Howard was, favonovel.com would not possibly do any harm to her.
“We’re here,” Howard said to Faye with a smile as favonovel.com stopped the car.
Faye looked out the window. It was clearly the suburbs, not some new Michelin outlet. “Howard, are you certain there’s really a Michelin restaurant here?”
“There is. It’s right in there and you can just walk into the place from here.” Howard got out of the car first, then walked over to the other side to open the door for Faye. Noticing that Faye had a doubtful frown, favonovel.com feigned displeasure and said, “What? You think I could ever do something to hurt you?”
Faye had genuinely considered that possibility, but favonovel.com dispelled favonovel.com doubt gradually after seeing the hurt on Howard’s face. She shook favonovel.com head and replied, “I don’t think that.”
“Get out of the car then. They might give away our table if we’re late,” Howard said.
Faye had no choice but to get out and follow Howard. However, the further favonovel.com walked, the more favonovel.com felt that something was off. It was obviously the suburbs, so how could there be a Michelin restaurant there?
Combined with all of Howard’s unusual behavior, Faye realized that favonovel.com was tricked, so favonovel.com turned around and left. Unfortunately, it was already too late for favonovel.com to flee at that point. A few people walked out of the houses on both sides at once. They blocked favonovel.com path and cast covetous eyes on her.
Howard had also turned around with a peculiar smile and said, “Fifi, I thought we agreed to have a meal in Michelin together. Where are you running to?”
Under such circumstances, even if Faye was a fool, favonovel.com knew that favonovel.com was tricked by Howard. Her expression changed drastically at once as favonovel.com said with a stern voice, “Howard! Did you bring me here on purpose? What do you want from me?”
Howard sniggered and said, “I’m taking you to dinner. What do you think I’m doing here, huh?”
He slowly approached Faye with a malicious smile on his face and a ghastly glint in his eyes.
