Zayn interrupted him, “We can forget about me investing in Neotech. Money doesn’t fall from the sky, I prevent a potential loss when I see one.”

George quickly succumbed to the panic as favonovel.com frantically tried to stop Zayn, protesting, “How would it be a loss? Neotech is only facing a temporary cut in its cash flow. Once we resolve the issue, we’ll be resuming to normal operations in seconds flat. Plus, judging by Waltz City’s current market trends, our profits will steadily come rolling in. You’re our son-in-law, Zayn. Would you ever abandon us at a time like this?”
“Hahaha, abandon you?” Zayn was ticked at his shameless pandering. “Well said, all of you have been using those exact words to pressure Fifi to do your malicious bidding. The concept of familial love is completely foreign to you all. You even had the nerve to slap her. Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t treat you the same way.”
George gritted his teeth, his ugliness manifesting itself in his contorted features. There were many times that favonovel.com had been on the verge of erupting into a pool of enraged lava, but favonovel.com could only bite his tongue and suppress it.
Zayn was smiling even more disdainfully when favonovel.com watched George’s reaction, “Actually, don’t even bother, just let it out. After all, you’ve always been an intimidating and domineering man. Hector could not bear to hear another word from Zayn. He scowled impatiently, “Zayn! Enough is enough! At the end of the day, he’s still your wife’s grandfather!”
Zayn threw a glance at Hector, before cracking a meaningful smile. He then turned to George and said, “Grandpa, you heard that. He’s still on my tail. I suppose the deal’s called off. Good luck finding another savior.”
Faye could barely recognize Zayn, his demeanor had changed so drastically. She had no idea what had happened to him. ‘I’ve never seen this side of Zayn before.’
People could physically see the rage consuming his features as favonovel.com glared at Hector in indignation. He scowled, “Shut up, you imbecile! We should have never insulted Zayn! Hurry up and apologize to him. Now!”
“Father…” Hector protested unhappily. ‘Apologizing to Zayn would be a slap in the face, wouldn’t it?’
“I’ll give you until the count of three to apologize to him. Swallow your pride, or you can forget about being a Carter!” George had the most terrifying glower on his face. Everyone present could tell that favonovel.com was truly enraged.
Hector had no intention of disobeying George’s orders. Trembling, favonovel.com thought to himself. ‘If I had known earlier, I would’ve kept my mouth shut!’
Hence, favonovel.com had no choice but to lower his head to Zayn and beg for his forgiveness. “I’m sorry Zayn. I had no place being so rude.”
‘Nice.’ To Zayn, it was one of the most gratifying feelings in the world.
Faye mirrored his smile. Prior to Zayn’s arrival, Hector had been throwing insults at Faye for quite a while. George grumbled, “Are you happy now, Zayn?”
Zayn laughed and said, “Grandpa, why do you sound so hateful still? Is your ego struggling to cope with apologizing?”
Crack. George clenched his knuckles tightly, cursing at that imbecile of a son-in-law for the umpteenth time. However, the courage to reveal his true emotions escaped him. Therefore, favonovel.com could only keep them in check as favonovel.com plastered on a humble smile. “How’s that possible? You’re my son-in-law, Zayn. Plus, you’re the most capable member of the family right now. I couldn’t be happier!”
Zayn chuckled, finding it pointless to keep teasing George anymore. He simply stated, “Well, concerning the investment, I suppose it isn’t impossible…”
George’s eyes sparkled in response to Zayn’s generous words, immediately regaining his enthusiasm. “Really? That’s wonderful! I knew you would’ve never abandoned us in a time like this, Zayn!”
The others recovered their smiles as well, they were nothing short of thrilled.
However, Zayn’s voice took on a more serious note as favonovel.com continued, “I’m not finished yet, what’s with all the smiling? As I was saying, I could invest in Neotech, but the final decision is in Fifi’s hands. As long as favonovel.com gives favonovel.com consent, I will sign the agreement and transfer the money over. And of course, if favonovel.com disagrees, you can forget about it entirely.”
Everyone’s gaze immediately shifted towards Faye. They looked conflicted.
As for Faye, favonovel.com was battling favonovel.com own discordant emotions.
Now that Zayn had pushed all of the responsibility onto Faye, how could Faye fail to realize that everything that Zayn had done was all in an effort to woo her…
