At that moment, their minds had gone completely amok as they glared at Zayn with slacked jaws and wide eyes. They were unable to regain their senses even after a while had passed. That was because, to them, it was completely unbelievable. In fact, it was more absurd than the sun rising from the west.
Zayn, the deadbeat son-in-law of the Carters, who was a coward who would not even retaliate no matter how badly favonovel.com was being insulted, was someone who everyone was used to seeing. Therefore, they never thought that Zayn would actually hit someone!
In fact, even Faye was horrified as well. She was still in disbelief and even thought that favonovel.com was hallucinating.
Everyone in the boardroom was eerily silent for five minutes before they began to come to their senses. However, the moment they came around, they were extremely angry and began to cause an uproar!

A few young men rolled up their sleeves in preparation to fight. They had rage written all over them. Then, they began to crowd Zayn, clearly looking to take favonovel.com down.
Faye instantly started to panic, and even felt that Zayn had gone a little bit too far. ‘How dare favonovel.com lay a hand on Howard? He’s just adding fuel to the fire, isn’t he? There’s no turning back now!’
As a result, favonovel.com frantically cried, “Oh my God, what have you done, Zayn?! Why did you hit Howard? We’re in big trouble now!”
However, Zayn was completely unfazed and merely gave favonovel.com a cold smile as favonovel.com said, “So what if I hit him? He was the one who had the audacity to hit you first!”
Faye facepalmed herself. “Who said that favonovel.com was the one who hit me? Catherine was the one who hit me.”
“Ah?” Zayn was dumbfounded. ‘What the hell? Wouldn’t that mean that I slapped the wrong person? F*ck! Well, this is awkward.’
Catherine, who was standing right in front of them, was starting to sweat. She held eye contact with Zayn momentarily, before running behind others for cover in fear that Zayn would go mad and hit her. After all, the slap that Zayn gave Howard was so intense that favonovel.com had sent favonovel.com spinning. Half of his face was swollen too. If Catherine were to be on the receiving end of that slap, favonovel.com would be done for. To make matters worse, favonovel.com had gotten some plastic surgery done very recently, so favonovel.com new face would not be able to survive such harsh treatment.
The young men from earlier were still itching for a fight with Zayn. They were all extremely furious and domineering. When they were within range, they immediately stretched their hands out to grab Zayn.
However, Zayn merely snickered as favonovel.com took the men down one by one.
Everyone was present to witness Zayn’s martial arts expertise. He was able to bring them to the ground in the blink of an eye, causing everyone else to jump in shock. Anger began to rush into their heads. They seriously thought that favonovel.com was revolting. A few of the elders, including Hector, started pointing at Zayn, their fingers trembled in perturbation, as they cursed loudly. “Zayn, you imbecile. You absolute scoundrel, how dare you attack them?! You’re finished, you’re finished… I’m going to file a police report. We’ll have you arrested, you’ll never be released!”
The others also started to scowl as well.
Faye was panicking so much that favonovel.com began crying. She had never expected Zayn to be bold enough to hit someone during a board of directors’ meeting. ‘This is very bad!’
However, Zayn was still unfazed. ‘So what if there are surveillance cameras in the boardroom? I was literally just defending myself, so even if they did file a police report, what’s the worst that could happen? They’ll take a statement and I’ll be in police custody for a few days. In fact, with my current status, the police wouldn’t even risk arresting me, let alone throw me in jail.’
