At that moment, someone walked over to Faye. They were looking at favonovel.com in an unfriendly manner. The person then began to question Faye, “Why have you only just arrived? Everyone’s waiting for you in the boardroom.”
The person before Faye was a distant relative of the Carters who had an average performance. In fact, it was Faye who had offered favonovel.com to join Neotech, and in turn, favonovel.com would treat Faye with respect. She used to call favonovel.com ‘Miss’ all the time. However, favonovel.com was currently being extremely cold towards Faye. She even had a look of scorn and disdain in favonovel.com eyes. Evidently, favonovel.com no longer had any respect for Faye.
When Faye noticed favonovel.com behavior, favonovel.com was furious. Though, what slowly followed was a mixture of despair and self-deprecation. That was the first time favonovel.com experienced what it was like to be stepped on when favonovel.com was already at favonovel.com lowest!
She had not even been stripped off of favonovel.com authority yet, but favonovel.com was already being treated like scum. ‘If my authority actually gets stripped away, what’s going to happen then?’
She paled.
However, it only strengthened favonovel.com mentality even more. ‘The harder it gets, the less there’s a reason for me to give in. When I do get to turn things around and redeem myself, I’m going to prove my success to everyone who’s ever looked down on me!’
Faye took a deep breath and fought hard to calm herself down. After favonovel.com was able to keep favonovel.com emotions in check, favonovel.com strode into the boardroom. ‘Do your worst. I’m ready.’
After favonovel.com had walked away, an insulting discussion directed at Faye started kicking into full swing.
As soon as Faye entered the boardroom, favonovel.com could feel the murderous gazes of everyone in the room being tacked onto her. Indeed, it was no exaggeration because that was exactly what Faye felt at that moment. It felt like someone had grabbed ahold of favonovel.com heart and started squeezing it mercilessly. She found it hard to breathe.
There were more than a dozen people in the boardroom, and each and every one of them were staring daggers at her. Their gazes were so intense that there were a handful of them who would undoubtedly do anything to tear favonovel.com apart with their bare hands. What was even more ludicrous was that everyone in the boardroom was a Carter. They were all favonovel.com relatives, elders, or even siblings. However, they all hated favonovel.com to favonovel.com core, all because Faye refused to sacrifice herself to be with William.
At that very moment, Faye felt cold and miserable. She forced a self-deprecating smile to favonovel.com lips.
George, who had the highest position of anyone in the boardroom, was sitting down on the main seat. He was also staring at favonovel.com coldly.
Faye stopped in favonovel.com tracks momentarily before favonovel.com approached favonovel.com seat. Once favonovel.com had got to favonovel.com seat, favonovel.com noticed that someone was resting their legs on favonovel.com chair. He looked like favonovel.com had no intention of moving out of the way in spite of seeing favonovel.com walk over.
Faye looked at favonovel.com and said, “Ramus, could you please move your legs? This is my seat.”
Ramus was a man in his thirties. At that moment, favonovel.com let out a cold snigger as favonovel.com mocked, “Your seat? Do you still think you deserve a seat amongst the Carters? Hehe.”
Faye was not angry at all. ‘Could this be the first obstacle that I have to overcome?’
“Regardless of whether my seat remains, you don’t have the power to decide at all, do you?” Faye answered coolly.
