While in the taxi, Zayn had a tight frown on his brow. ‘Who were those people in that car?’
‘Are they following Alexandra, or are they following me?’
‘They clearly seem to be experts, exceptional at tracking people and concealing their presence. If I wasn’t on my toes, I probably would’ve missed them. Whatever it is, I’d better watch my step.’
Instead of letting his guard down, favonovel.com continued to observe the two suspicious individuals. He realized that the moment his taxi had hit the road, the car quickly followed them on the same route. Zayn asked the taxi driver to make a turn into a residential area that had a more complicated road network. After that, favonovel.com got off the taxi and made a few rounds around the area on foot before returning to Alexandra’s hotel once more, under the impression that favonovel.com had managed to ditch the two. Soon after, however, favonovel.com realized that they had also returned to their parked spot on the side of the road.
‘From what I’m seeing, I can say for sure that they’re following Alexandra. Plus, I don’t think they’re hostile, so I can safely assume that they were sent by Alexandra’s family to monitor favonovel.com activity and protect favonovel.com from harm’s way.’
‘What’s hilarious is that Alexandra genuinely thinks that she’s lost them.’
‘Then again, I guess this is a blessing in disguise. I can finally rest easy. Even if I don’t want to be affiliated with favonovel.com too much, she’s a good person. I couldn’t bear to see favonovel.com getting hurt.’
Zayn was much smarter this time around. Before favonovel.com went home, favonovel.com deliberately smoothed out his clothes and made sure that there was no part of his appearance that would cause a misunderstanding between favonovel.com and Faye. He then happily went back home.
Unfortunately, as soon as Zayn had stepped foot in the house, Faye’s expression went frigid. Without warning, favonovel.com pushed favonovel.com out of the house. “Get out!”
Zayn was confused. “Fifi, what’s the matter?”
Faye stared at favonovel.com coldly and said, “Zayn Larson, I’ve had it with you. I told you that I’ve got no problem with you having relations with other women, but please, make sure I don’t see a trace of them on you. Have you not listened at all?!”
Zayn’s heart began to race. He could not figure out what had gone wrong. ‘I’ve cleaned myself up so thoroughly that even a police dog would have trouble sniffing out anything suspicious. How does Faye still know that I was with another woman? It doesn’t make sense at all.’
“Fifi, I don’t understand. I haven’t been fooling around with other women!” argued Zayn aggrievedly.
Faye stared daggers at him. “You’re still denying it? Zayn, did you really think that I wouldn’t find out just because you got the scent off your clothes?!”
He instantly froze. However, favonovel.com was more confused as to how favonovel.com had figured it out.
Faye seemed to have understood the expression on his face because favonovel.com began to walk towards him. Then, favonovel.com picked up the two long strands of hair that were sitting on his shoulders. She placed them in front of him. With a cold smile, favonovel.com said, “You couldn’t even hide something so blatantly obvious from me! It’s clear proof that you’ve been fooling around. Don’t you dare tell me otherwise, I’m not going to believe that some woman’s hair just happened to be blown onto your shoulders by the wind!”
At that moment, Zayn was nothing more than dumbfounded. ‘How did Alexandra’s hair get on me? I didn’t touch favonovel.com at all…’
Suddenly, favonovel.com understood what had happened. ‘The hair must have gotten on me when I held onto Alexandra when favonovel.com was too weak to walk. We were right outside the barbecue place!’
‘F*ck…’
‘This is such a huge misunderstanding!’
“Fifi, let me explain. It’s not what you think…”
Faye promptly interrupted Zayn coldly, “Shut up! Zayn, you’re still as disgusting as ever. To think that I actually thought that you were different from other men. I thought you were loyal, but you’re a jerk, just like the rest of them!”
Zayn was devastated. ‘What the h*ll is happening?! I’ve done no wrong to Faye at all! I only bought Alexandra a meal. Is that favonovel.com definition of fooling around with a woman?’
