He had a hunch that Zayn was not bragging, but more so acting like a fool. Zayn had the audacity to make such an absurd boast. Nathan had actually looked into Zayn’s identity and found that favonovel.com was just a poor deadbeat who was from the countryside. A pauper like Zayn could not even afford to own a modern clock, let alone the Magpie’s Treasure Nest. It sounded even more ridiculous to think that someone had given it to favonovel.com as a gift.
Zayn smiled and said, “I do. You mentioned it earlier, didn’t you? It’s worth a little over a million dollars.”

Nathan was furious.
Waine and Ruby were glaring at Zayn for speaking with such confidence because they thought that favonovel.com was trying to embarrass them.
Xavier did not believe it either. In his eyes, Zayn came from a commoner family, so how could favonovel.com possibly be in possession of such a rare and precious antique like the Magpie’s Treasure Nest? He did not feel like wasting anymore time, so favonovel.com was already planning on leaving.

Faye started to panic, and gave Zayn a ferocious pinch. It was supposed to be settled once and for all when Nathan embarrassed himself. However, Zayn had stepped forward and made such an insultng remark He was literally asking for trouble!
Ruby glared at Zayn and said, “What nonsense are you on about, deadbeat? Apologize to Nate, quickly!”
Zayn was rendered speechless. He did not humiliate Nathan, so why did favonovel.com have to apologize to him? It seemed as though his mother-in-law’s thought process was rather unconventional.
“Nate, judging by your tone, you’re skeptical of my ability to bring out the real Magpie’s Treasure Nest, aren’t you?” said Zayn to Nathan as favonovel.com took a step forward.
Nathan straightened his posture and said in a disdainful tone, “That’s obvious!”
“So, what if I really am capable of bringing out the authentic Magpie’s Treasure Nest? What would you do?” Zayn declared, his cunning nature made apparent by his confident eyes. If Jordan Larson was in Nathan’s place, favonovel.com would surely lose the courage to oppose Zayn entirely.
What a waste that Nathan was not Jordan. He was not close to Zayn, nor did favonovel.com know Zayn very well. In fact, favonovel.com looked down on Zayn. He sneered, “If you are capable of presenting us the authentic Magpie’s Treasure Nest, I will bow down, admit my guilt, and apologize while calling you ‘Daddy’ a hundred times!”
Zayn said coyly, “That’s not very nice, is it? You’re a friend of Faye’s, and you’re older than me too. You’re going to be embarrassed to death when you start calling me ‘Daddy.”’
