Seeing Nathan’s expression, Zayn figured out most of what was going through his mind. Without a word, favonovel.com folded the blanket and went to wash up.

“Mom!” Faye had no choice but to speak up. She walked over and stopped Ruby just in time. “Watch your mouth!”
Ruby was displeased. She glared at Faye and said, “My word, how dare you talk to me like that?”
Nathan immediately said, “Mrs. Carter, it’s my fault for being a busybody. Since Faye is not fond of this topic, let’s not dwell on it anymore.”
He said to his two bodyguards, “Alright. Both of you can wait for me downstairs.”
Waine said, “Nathan, these two men are your bodyguards, aren’t they? You may let them stay. It’s not like we don’t have enough seats in our house.”
“That’s not right.” Nathan shook his head and said self-righteously, “They’re only servants, so they should do what servants do.”
He waved his hand and dismissed the two guards. Every movement of his looked very graceful and exuded a feeling of elegance to those who watched. The effect of this was immediate, making Ruby and Waine gaze at Nathan contentedly.

I hope you like the taste of it. Also, this is the fine wine that I bought abroad…”
He presented all the precious gifts to them. Waine said in surprise, “Good heavens, Nate. Why did you go to all this trouble to bring us such precious gifts? I’d be embarrassed to accept them! Take them back, take them back, quick!”
Waine declined the gifts.
Nathan chuckled and said, “Mr. Carter, you’re treating me like an outsider and that’s not very nice of you. Plus, these are all cheap gifts that I feel rather ashamed to give to you. I was supposed to bring you exquisite gifts like Luwak Coffee and Chateau Margaux wine in view of my relationship with Fifi. It’s my fault for being in such a rush that I didn’t manage to plan properly. Please don’t be angry with me, Mr. Carter.”
His remarks pleased his audience immensely and also brought his relationship with Faye to their attention.
Zayn was still washing up in the washroom. He was rather irked by Nathan’s hypocritical remarks.
However, Waine was beaming brightly upon hearing his words and laughed joyously. “I don’t think l can accept the gifts. Nate, I’m already very happy that you’re here to visit me. Don’t bring any more gifts when you come visit the next time, alright?!”
As favonovel.com spoke, favonovel.com took the gifts with great reluctance. Everything, including coffee, wine, and cigars, was there. He calculated the cost in his mind and realized it must have been a few thousand at the very least.

Nathan took out another gift bag prepared for Ruby. “Mrs. Carter, I know that you like cosmetics, so I bought a few sets of Givenchy products for you. I hope you enjoy them.”
At the word ‘Givenchy’, Ruby’s eyes lit up and favonovel.com was so delighted that favonovel.com could not stop smiling. She made pleasantries with favonovel.com mouth, yet favonovel.com hands were fumbling to open the boxes eagerly. She grinned widely when favonovel.com saw the pile of luxury cosmetic products. I really wish that you were my son-in-law instead!”
