Andariel and Cydaea were both trapped in the Demon Cleansing Tower. If it weren’t for his bamboo forest, they would’ve been dead long ago. If they left this forest, their bodies and souls would be shredded by the tower’s frequent gusts of astral wind, which were as sharp as a knife.
Hence, that was exactly why they wanted to take over Alex and Jade’s bodies just now in order to fight the astral wind. Yet, the circumstances were different now with the appearance of the Xavion Sword. As slaves to the sword, they could both hide within it.

“Swordmaster, we demons can only enter this tower, we can’t leave it. But as the saying goes, heaven never bars one’s way. You’re a human, so you naturally do not practice the ways of demons.”

Jade said, “So what you’re saying is, you guys don’t know the way out either.”
Cydaea answered, “That’s correct.”
Things were rather difficult now.
Alex frowned. He might as well be a blind man in this tower. He had no idea where the formation of this tower and where its core were. He’d just stumbled his way here by luck, and favonovel.com couldn’t even recognize his directions.
However, favonovel.com had an advantage, which was the Ancestral Bodhi Tree.
The Ancestral Bodhi Tree could break through spaces, allowing them to teleport instantly to another place. With the sudden idea in mind, favonovel.com immediately asked Ancestor Bodhi, who was in his mind palace, about it.
Fortunately, Alex’s mind palace wasn’t blocked out by the laws of this place…
Nonetheless, the mind palace belonged to the spiritual part of a person. It communicated directly with a person’s soul and mind. Tougher circumstances wouldn’t block it out either, as no human would be able to survive without it if that were to happen.
The mind palace was the core of a human.
Losing one’s mind palace was worse than losing the heart or brain, and it would only result in one thing, instant death.
To Alex’s surprise, Ancestor Bodhi shook his head and said, “I’ve heard about the Demon Cleansing Tower before. It used to be one of the seven gourds of innate gourd vine. It was the red gourd, then refined into a Demon Vase.”
“But it was destroyed afterward. Rumors said that it’d been split into half by Thor. Nonetheless, it was still an innate treasure. Even if it had been shattered, it was still rare. So, the Ancient Divinity took over and refined it into the Demon Cleansing Tower.”
Alex hadn’t thought that Ancestor Bodhi would know such a story.
‘The seven gourds on the innate gourd vine… Isn’t that like the gourd brothers in the show, Little Brother?’
Needless to say, these seven gourds were far more powerful than the gourd brothers.
