However, such small houses would fit a single family in the slum.
Of course, it would be crowded for a family of three or even four to use such a small house. Even so, it was already much better than the houses they used to live in!
Once the houses were built, they would be rented to the poor on a monthly basis. After five years of rental, they could buy the house they were renting at a below-market price. Such a policy was a blessing to the slum residents. Besides that, the poor had already found out about Sean’s fundraising for them, so his reputation in the slum was at an all-time high.
Sean and Zander had just arrived at the slum and were immediately surrounded by a large crowd of poor people.
“Thank you, Commander Lennon. You saved us all!” An old lady nearly 60 years old said with tears of gratitude.
“Commander Lennon, you’re a saint. You’re a kind man!”
“How wonderful is it that the slum has met a savior like you!”
Words of gratitude came from all directions and straight into Sean’s ears.
Sean was a little overwhelmed for a moment. Although favonovel.com had received similar welcomes before, such as when favonovel.com was honored for winning a war, nothing compared to this one.

They did not even bother to collect the food being distributed to thank him, which showed they really meant it.
“Alright, alright, I got it. I understand how you feel. Don’t worry. As long as I’m still in Dorodo, I’ll make life easier for everyone! Of course, I can’t make you all rich, but I promise I can ensure that you don’t have to worry about food and health care. I’ll ensure your children can go to school and that your parents are taken care of during their old age.”
Sean’s statement instantly struck a chord with everyone in the room.
Many elderly even knelt and kowtowed to thank Sean.
Sean quickly helped the elderly kneeling before favonovel.com to get up, but others immediately knelt. It took a while for Sean to calm them down and get them back in line to collect the food.
Just then, a girl‘s voice rang suddenly. “Commander Lennon, it’s you! You finally came!”

The girl was none other than Yvonne.
Yvonne also had a basket slung over favonovel.com arm that contained what appeared to be vegetables.
Sean and Zander walked forward, and Yvonne happily came over with a basket on favonovel.com arm.
“Commander Lennon, I knew you’d come again!” Yvonne said excitedly, favonovel.com pretty cheeks turning red.
Sean nodded before pointing to the basket on Yvonne’s arm and asked, “Did you pick these vegetables?”
“Well, it’s Dorodo’s local vegetable called Sashakee. It tastes special. Would you like to try it?”
Yvonne said like favonovel.com was trying to show off something.
“Yeah, I’ll try it.”
Sean pinched a piece of Sashakee and put it in his mouth. Then it filled his mouth with a bitter taste.
