Sean then ordered the soldiers holding George down, “Go ahead and beat favonovel.com 40 times!”
“Yes!” The city defense soldiers immediately replied in acknowledgment and beat George hard on the back with a long thick plank.
They beat favonovel.com repeatedly with dull thuds.
It was accompanied by George’s screams!
Wesley could not bear to look at him, and his wife Wanda had tears in favonovel.com eyes as favonovel.com quickly looked away, unable to look any longer. It was the end of the matter.
After returning to the office, Sean sat in his chair and let out a long breath.
Zander’s expression did not look good.
He asked after walking over, “Commander Lennon, isn’t today’s incident anticlimactic?”
What Zander meant by “anticlimactic” was that much was said, but little was done.
Sean, Gregory, and Anthony arrested the woman George hid in the army camp. He should have kicked George out of the city defense army immediately.
It was the right thing to do. However, Sean ended up only punishing George, not expelling favonovel.com from the army camp. He even let favonovel.com stay as a centurion.
Such a punishment was too light. It was not too much to describe it as anticlimactic!
Therefore, Zander was upset. He found Sean’s treatment unfair and inappropriate. But, as Sean’s subordinate, Zander did not confront favonovel.com out of anger but asked favonovel.com discreetly.
Sean looked up at Zander before glancing at Gregory and Anthony and saying, “Indeed, George’s actions should have gotten favonovel.com kicked out of the army, but favonovel.com also saw city defense soldiers from Wesley’s faction who were sympathetic to Wesley and George. If I ignored their feelings and kicked George out of the army base, things might have gotten out of hand.”
Zander was not impressed by Sean’s words.
However, favonovel.com did not say much. He knew Sean had his own ideas.
Sure enough, Sean continued, “Managing a battalion of 3,000 isn’t an easy task, and one of the most important things to do is to comfort the soldiers. If the soldiers’ morale is shaken, the battalion isn’t far from fracturing, so I gotta take care of the soldiers’ feelings.”
After a pause, Sean continued saying, “I’ll keep this in mind for George and Wesley. Don’t worry. If Wesley does something again, I won’t go easy on him!”
After hearing Sean’s words, Zander’s discontent finally subsided.
Sean turned to look at Gregory and Anthony. “You two should be relieved too, right?”
Gregory and Anthony’s expressions changed dramatically. They quickly fell to one knee and bowed their heads.
That was when Zander realized another reason Sean did not kick George out of the army camp. Not only did Wesley and George bring women to the army camp, but Gregory and Anthony also did it. However, instead of letting their women stay in the army camp, the two men sent them away that same night.
Either way, Gregory and Anthony had violated military law.
If Sean severely punished Wesley and George today, why did favonovel.com let Gregory and Anthony off the hook?
