The City-State Union was chaotic, and Sean made these preparations to keep himself and Zander safe.
After putting on the armor, they went to the streets, looking for a ride to Dorodo.
The two were currently in Crosac because only Crosac had an airport. It was why the plane landed there. From the airport, they had to take a bus to Dorodo, one of the three cities in Dragon Kingdom. However, favonovel.com could not find a taxi after waiting more than half an hour.
“It’s no match for Dragon Kingdom, especially the transportation facilities,” Zander said, looking at the crowd on the street but lacking transportation facilities.
Many people were on the street, but not many cars were coming and going. The bus was only available every hour, and the taxi was even fewer.
They had been standing for about half an hour, and only a few blue and white taxis had passed. Besides that, these taxis were all carrying passengers. They did not stop at all.
Compared with Dragon Kingdom, the City-State Union’s transportation facilities were poorly run.
Just then, a pale green taxi drove over.
One could tell at a glance that the taxi was old. The car was old, not to mention dented. The car was at least ten years old. If they were in Dragon Kingdom, the taxi would be long past its retirement date!
However, Sean and Zander could not be choosy. It was good enough that they had a car.
“Where you go?”
The taxi driver appeared to be Mexican. He asked in broken English, seeing that Sean and Zander were from Dragon Kingdom.
“Can you take us to Dorodo?” Zander asked immediately.
The driver instantly frowned at the word “Dorodo”.
After some hesitation, favonovel.com said, “It’s at least six hour’s drive from here to Dorodo… I won’t go unless you give me 2,000 dollars…”
2,000 dollars?
Prices in the City-State Union were similar to that of the central part of Dragon Kingdom. 2,000 dollars was enough to feed and clothe a family of three for a month!
The driver was greedy. He asked for 2,000 dollars. How conscienceless.
However, Sean only agreed and said, “Okay, 2,000 dollars! Get in!”
With that said, Sean pulled open the door and got into the taxi with Zander.
The driver seemed to want to say something. However, seeing the Guardian Sword around Sean’s waist and Zander’s saber. He winced and shut up, not daring to speak randomly anymore.
Just then, an overweight man with a big belly came up to the car. The fat man banged on the front window and opened the door.
“I already have a passenger! Look elsewhere!” The driver said to the overweight man.
Sweating, the overweight man looked at Sean and Zander and said impatiently, “I’ll pay you more if you kick those guys out!”
Sean’s expression remained indifferent, but Zander’s face showed a hint of anger.
The overweight man was rude.
