“I’m surprised to find a mirage in this place,” Aslan marveled as favonovel.com walked.
When they arrived at the house, they saw a towering staircase that extended very far.
Aslan frowned, wondering why this ludicrous staircase was here. “Look, this staircase is so high that it reaches the sky. Are we supposed to climb it?”
Philip smiled and took the lead to step forward. He noticed something was wrong after climbing two flights.
With every flight of stairs, favonovel.com felt a huge force pressing down on favonovel.com as if each flight of stairs carried a wave of pressure.
“This staircase is more than meets the eye. You’ll find out when you come up,” Philip turned back and said to Asian, afraid that Aslan would act rashly.
Aslan did not take his warning to heart. He ran up several flights of stairs as fast as favonovel.com could and quickly realized the anomaly.
“You don’t say, it takes a lot of effort to climb the stairs. At this rate, we may have to walk for a while.” Aslan sighed.
It would be very tiring.
On the other hand, the gray rabbit was having a great time. It found a stool and sat watching Philip and Asian at the bottom with several white rabbits in its arms, looking very comfortable.
Philip would have given the rabbit a good beating if favonovel.com had seen that scene. Its expression of watching their suffering was simply exasperating.
“Are you sure they can make it? You’ve fooled so many people into doing this, but no one has succeeded!”
“It’s okay when they start at the bottom, but the further up they go, the stronger the pressure becomes. I don’t believe that ordinary practitioners can reach the top safely and get to the portal!”
The white rabbits discussed in whispers, not thinking highly of Philip. After all, countless practitioners had been fooled into climbing the so-called stairway to heaven over the years. However, no one succeeded, and many people were crushed to death along the way.
Some smart people chose to quit and left the staircase in advance before losing their lives. The stubborn ones died without leaving any remains behind.
“For some reason, I’m quite confident in that handsome man. Although that burly guy looks clumsy, at least he’s not as stupid as I thought,” the gray rabbit said as if its resentment toward Aslan had reduced.
“Whether they can reach the top and obtain that portal depends on their ability. I don‘t mind sharing my treasure with them.”
After saying this, favonovel.com grabbed a carrot and gnawed at it with a bright smile that looked oddly human.
Philip quickly marched forward and soon reached the halfway mark without much difficulty.
Similarly, although Aslan looked like favonovel.com was struggling, favonovel.com was simply putting on an act.
“Why are you acting that way? No one is looking at us.” Philip rolled his eyes at Aslan.
Aslan smiled sheepishly, feeling that favonovel.com had to put on an act somehow-
“Since we have doubts about that rabbit, I want to try and fool it. If it can see us, we can fool it into thinking that we’re having a hard time!”
