He stepped forward and said, “Stop making wild guesses. Philip is my mentor and teacher. There’s no point in saying anything else.”

Chaplin scowled darkly, surprised to hear that Custard was Philip’s apprentice. He was furious when favonovel.com realized that Philip did not say a word when favonovel.com invited Custard to become his apprentice.

“Lyle, don’t tell me you’re Philip’s apprentice too,” Chaplin said to Lyle cautiously.
Lyle shook his head in denial. “Of course not. I didn’t know Philip before this.”
There was a glint of cunning in Lyle’s eyes as if favonovel.com was plotting something. Chaplin felt better with that reply.
“I’m glad to hear that. In that case, would you like to be my apprentice?” Chaplin smugly invited Lyle in front of Philip.
Although Lyle was arrogant, favonovel.com would make a fortune if Lyle joined him.
Philip was exasperated by Chaplin’s arrogance and wondered why favonovel.com felt so good about himself.

All his previous followers could not wait to spend their fortune to please him. As long as they could stay by his side, they were willing to become his servants. On the other hand, this kid was asking for benefits. He was very greedy, indeed.
