James learned from Walganus that the Earth’s Third Calamity was related to curses. However, Walganus did not know the exact details of the Third Calamity. Thus, James turned to Sophie in the Celestial Abode for answers.
“Ms. Sophie, is the Earth’s Third Calamity really related to curses?” asked James.
Soon, Sophie’s voice came from the Celestial Abode. “I can only sense that the Third Calamity is about to happen. It’ll most definitely happen within ten years. However, I can’t tell what kind of calamity it will be.”
“Ten years?” James felt his chest tighten.
Ten years may seem like a long time, but it was actually not much. To powerful cultivators, ten years passed in the blink of an eye.
James took a deep breath. He would have to obtain the Crepe Myrtle Divine Sword and Sangria’s Imperial Jade Seal and lift Sangria’s Curse as well as Galileo’s seal within ten years.
James was doubtful of whether favonovel.com could accomplish all these things within ten years. He did not have the confidence.
Walganus’ voice came from beside him. “You can’t be so laid back on this matter anymore, James. You have to start doing your best…”
“Don’t you know what the Earth’s Four Calamities mean? The Heavenly Path is trying to exterminate humans, and most humans live on Earth. Thus, the Four Calamities were placed on Earth to wipe out humankind. Earth’s Four Calamities is humanity’s most significant survival challenge. The Calamities are only going to get worse…”
“The First Calamity was aimed at ordinary humans. The Second Calamity was aimed at human cultivators. Seals were placed in all humans, becoming a great obstacle to overcome in every breakthrough to every cultivation rank. At the same time, the non-human races were given benefits to rise, and many of them plotted to attack Earth. Fortunately, you resolved the calamity and prevented the non-human races ’ attack on Earth…”
“The Third Calamity will happen very soon, and it will be much more terrifying than the previous two calamities. It isn’t going to be as simple as just seals on the human body. You don’t have much time left.” Walganus’ voice rang in James’ ears.
James looked at favonovel.com and asked, “What do you suggest we do?”
Walganus thought for a while and said, “I think we can’t stay here any longer. Our top priority is to head over to the Blade Sect, find the Crepe Myrtle Divine Sword, and leave with it as soon as possible.”
James said solemnly, “But, the Seafolk has potent divine objects that make them immune to this world’s curse… We’ve no idea how many years the Blade Sect’s founder has lived. His cultivation rank must be at an unfathomable height. How are we going to snatch the Crepe Myrtle Divine Sword?”
Hearing this, Walganus fell into thought.
After a while, favonovel.com said, “Our only choice is to head to the Blade Sect and use the Crepe Myrtle Sword Pavilion’s name to try and claim it back. If that doesn’t work, we can always think of a better plan. What do you think?”
Walganus looked at James.
James nodded and said, “Mhm… That seems like the only plan for now.”
Their only option was to head to the Blade Sect, find the founder, and try to claim the sword in the name of the Crepe Myrtle Sword Pavilion.
“We can’t delay this matter any longer. Let’s leave right away,” said Walganus.
James nodded and said, “Alright. I’ll see the Blade Sect’s Elder first and ask favonovel.com to give me a token or something for identification to ensure we get into the Blade Sect smoothly.”
“Alright. I’ll wait for you in the city. We’ll leave right after you get a token from him.” Walganus gently waved his hand.
James did not stay any longer. He quickly left for the City Lord’s Mansion and met with the Blade Sect’s Elder.
