Along the way, they passed by many cities. These were once bustling cities, where the streets were full of stunning beauties. Now, due to the war, they had become desolate. The streets were empty, and only a handful of people could be seen walking about.

After flying for a few days straight, they finally arrived at Macchia City.
Macchia City was a Sangrian city situated near the border. Though it was not a bustling city by any standards, it was not considered backward either.
James and Walganus appeared outside the city.
The city walls were hundreds of meters high, and they were constructed using black granite. On the walls, many soldiers patrolled the area, and the huge city gate was firmly shut. There was not a single person on the streets of the city.
James and Walagnus did not simply barge into the city. Instead, after descending from the sky and landing steadily on the ground, they headed toward the city gates.
Before they could approach the city gates, however, they were discovered by the patrolling guards.
“His Majesty has arrived! Open the gates!” Walganus’ voice boomed.
As news of the coronation of a new Emperor had spread to Macchia, every soldier here knew that James was the new Emperor.

The firmly shut gate slowly opened, and many armor-clad female soldiers rushed out and stood in two rows before kneeling.
“All hail His Majesty!” they spoke in unison.
“Rise…” James walked over to them and waved slightly.

At that moment, a female general hurriedly walked toward him.

There were many soldiers on the streets.
