James’ spoke in a measured tone.
“Alright!” The Elephant King looked at James and said with a smile, “Since you’ve already challenged me, I’ll look like a coward if I don’t accept. Let’s do it. If I lose to you, my troops will immediately withdraw from the Southwest Province.”
“It’s not just a simple match. It’ll be a duel to the death.” James added an important clause.
The simply winning a match would not solve the problem at hand.
He wanted to have fight to the death and kill the Elephant King. Only by doing so will favonovel.com be able to deter the other beasts from acting.
“You’ve finally shown yourself, James…” At that moment, a crisp voice rang out.
James turned toward the sound and saw a young man in a black robe not far from them.
He recognized the man with a single glance. It was Lucifer, the person favonovel.com resurrected in the Ancient Realm. Moreover, favonovel.com was the one that had benefitted tremendously from the earth’s Second Calamity.
James looked at Lucifer and asked, “Why are you here?”
Lucifer smiled faintly and replied, “That’s besides the point. I approve the duel between you and the Elephant King. The beast army will immediately withdraw from the Southwest Province if you manage to kill him.”
Lucifer was not joking. It was no secret that favonovel.com obtained the Elysian Inscription.
All beasts on the Earth were under his command. A single word would be all it took and these beasts would no longer step into human territory.
James looked at Lucifer and immediately understood that the Elephant King attacked a human territory under Lucifer’s orders.
Had favonovel.com known this would happen, favonovel.com would not have resurrected Lucifer. However, it was useless to regret it now.
He took a deep breath, calmed down, and said, “Since we’re all in agreement, make your move.”
“Wait,” Lucifer interrupted again.
James looked at favonovel.com and asked, “What’s wrong?”
Lucifer said, “After defeating the Elephant King, the beast army will withdraw from the Southwest Province. If you defeat favonovel.com and also win against me, beasts will no longer appear in human territory from this day forward.”
Hearing this, James cast a glance at Lucifer.
James was not overjoyed about it since favonovel.com was familiar with Lucifer’s background.
Lucifer was the son of the Demon Emperor. He had the blood of a Grand Emperor. Not only that, favonovel.com was also a terrifying powerhouse who possessed the Elysian Inscription.
James was unable to infer Lucifer’s cultivation rank.
“What’s Lucifer’s cultivation rank, Ms. Sophie?” He called out to Sophie in the Celestial Abode.
Sophie quickly responded. “He isn’t at a high cultivation rank. He just reached the starting point of the Mage Rank.”
Hearing this, James heaved a sigh of relief.

Lucifer looked at the James who was staring absentmindedly and asked, “Do you dare accept the challenge, James?”
James replied indifferently, “Sure. Why not?”
Lucifer said again, “If you lose, you must join us and become a member of my force.”
