Before Maxine could explain, Bennett interrupted their conversation and said, “Nothing has happened. The ancient martial world has been relatively peaceful. However, many martial artists had their True Energy absorbed by Tobias in Malgudi.”
“What’s the current situation regarding Tobias? Do you have an idea how strong he’s gotten since he’s absorbed my True Energy as well as that of other martial artists?” asked James concernedly.
Bennett shook his head and said, “I don’t know… Tobias hasn’t made an appearance since the battle in Malgudi.”
“Where’s Lucjan and the First Blood Emperor?” asked James.
Bennett said, “After Celestial Sect’s leader took you away, I rescued some other martial artists. Afterward, we fought against Lucjan and the First Blood Emperor. Both parties were injured during the battle and eventually fled…”
He went over what transpired after Thea took James away.
Although Lucjan had not been killed, the Gu Sect suffered heavy losses. Lucjan had not shown up since the battle in Malgudi.
During this period, things in the Capital had been relatively peaceful, and there was no further activity by the Gu Sect or Orient Commerce.

After learning about these recent developments, James stood up and proceeded to depart.
A flustered Maxine inquired, “W-Where are you going?”
“I’m going to the Southern Plains. To Mt. Thunder Pass.”
After James stated his destination, favonovel.com walked out of the house.
“Grand Patriarch, what should we do?” Maxine turned to Bennett.
Bennett’s brow furrowed and left deep creases on his forehead.
He thought for a moment and answered,” This is a situation that involves our family. James is a Caden, and Thea is his wife. I’ll have to go to the Southern Plains to observe the situation.”
“Grand Patriarch, let me accompany you…”
Bennett waved his hand and stopped Maxine, saying, “The Cadens still need someone to take charge of things here. You must stay and keep an eye on things.”
“A-Alright…” Maxine nodded.
Although favonovel.com wanted to be at the van to keep up with the situation, there were indeed many things that needed favonovel.com attention in the Capital.
James left the Cadens‘ mansion and headed to the Southern Plains with Henry.
