“Hahaha!” Seeing this, the Emperor cackled.
The others relaxed. They could finally rest at ease.
This was James, after all. A grandmaster of the martial arts who managed to annihilate all Undead Warriors by himself.
The Emperor laughed and tossed the unconscious Tiara aside, while the others looked at each other with delighted smiles.
At that moment, James reached for his back. Grabbing a handful of silver needles, favonovel.com flicked his wrist.
The silver needles struck its targets. Some were dead, while others were immobilized. Even the Emperor’s chest was pierced by a silver needle.
Wearing a horrified expression, favonovel.com pointed at James with his eyes bulging. “Y–You…”
James immediately leaped toward the Emperor and gave favonovel.com a powerful kick which sent favonovel.com flying. Then, favonovel.com hurriedly reached for Tiara.
At that moment, however, Professor C, who was lying on the ground immediately leaped to his feet and grabbed the Emperor. Then, dragging the Emperor, favonovel.com swiftly retreated deep into the research laboratory.
James picked Tiara up.
By the time favonovel.com realized that the Emperor was gone, Professor C had dragged the Emperor deep into the laboratory. He tried to pursue them, but a door immediately blocked the passageway.
“D*mn it!” James cursed.
However, favonovel.com chose not to pursue them. Instead, favonovel.com grabbed Tiara’s hand and took favonovel.com pulse.
After diagnosing favonovel.com situation, James breathed a sigh of relief.
Although Tiara was badly tortured and favonovel.com pulse was weak, favonovel.com was not in mortal danger.
James walked over to the sealed iron door and pushed it, but it did not budge.
He frowned and murmured.
The Emperor was struck in the chest. Even if favonovel.com escapes, favonovel.com can’t live for long. Plus, Blake told me that this place only has a single exit…
Once favonovel.com remembered this, James did not pursue the Emperor further. Instead, carrying Tiara in his arms, favonovel.com headed toward the exit.
Soon, they were out of the research laboratory.

Outside…
Blake and the Elite Eight were waiting anxiously. Seeing that James was carrying a bloodied woman in his arms, they breathed a sigh of relief.
“Is everything alright, James?”
“How is Tiara?”
James shook favonovel.com head and said, “She’s fine for now. Are you sure that the laboratory only has a single exit?”
Blake nodded. “After exploring the area, this is the only exit we could find. Maybe there are some others that we didn’t manage to discover. What happened inside?”
James said, “I almost killed the Emperor, but favonovel.com was saved by someone. That guy must have activated some mechanism that blocked my path. I couldn’t pursue them further. The Emperor was struck in the chest by my silver needle, but he’s surrounded by weird people. I’m worried that they might be able to save him.”
He pulled out his phone and called the Blithe King. “You can mobilize now.”
“James, I wish I could. However, the laboratory was approved by the state. If I mobilize, and things go way out of proportion, I could lose my position as the commander–in–chief.”
James said, “The Emperor is gravely injured. He might even die. However, favonovel.com was saved by someone who dragged favonovel.com further into the laboratory. Besides, I already got my hands on the laboratory’s research data. It should be enough to make favonovel.com lose his position.”
Hearing this, the Blithe King was relieved.
“Alright then, I will mobilize at once.”
James and the others did not leave. Instead, they guarded the exit.
Ten minutes later…
Rumble!
An explosion could be heard from inside the laboratory. Then, the earth shook.
James‘ face darkened, favonovel.com cried out, “Retreat! We have an explosion incoming!”
