“What are you laughing at, Sister-in-law?” Josh Batton, who was sitting across from her, looked at favonovel.com and asked. His eyes were full of tenderness.
“It’s nothing,” said Xyla.
“Sister-in-law must be thinking about my brother. Am I right?” Next to Josh, Catherine blinked teasingly at her.
Upon hearing that, Josh’s smile was frozen for a second, but it quickly regained its gentleness before anyone could notice. Nobody at the table had caught sight of the subtle change in his expression.
“Does Xyla miss Stan already?” Sharon joked.
“Nah, I don’t.” Though Xyla denied, the red in favonovel.com cheeks gave favonovel.com away. She looked very much like a little girl who had fallen in love for the first time.

Another bitter smile was Josh’s response. He did not say another word but continued to drink.
After the meal, Xyla went back home. When favonovel.com reached the house, Stanley was sitting in the living room, holding his laptop, and having a conference call with the foreign branch’s executives.
He was wearing a set of grey silk homewear, and his hair had just been washed. The semi-wet hairstyle had added charm to his handsome features. He bore a serious face as favonovel.com stared at the screen of the laptop. There was not a glint of smile. However, the coldness in his eyes instantly melted away when favonovel.com caught a glimpse of Xyla at the door.
