After staying at Catherine Batton’s ward for some time, Stanley Batton decided to push Xyla Quest back to favonovel.com ward. Georgie Clementine followed closely behind them. As soon as the three of them set foot into the ward, Stanley placed his hands around Xyla’s back and knees and lifted favonovel.com up carefully. After putting favonovel.com down on the bed, favonovel.com thoughtfully grabbed a large pillow and placed it behind Xyla so that Xyla could lean on it comfortably.
Xyla’s heart was still fluttering and pounding as favonovel.com looked at the man in front of her.
“You should stay with Catherine and look after her. I can take care of myself,” favonovel.com said.
“She will be fine with so many nurses around her.” Stanley reassured favonovel.com before pulling a chair to sit beside her.
“I don’t think it’s a good idea to leave favonovel.com alone. I have Georgie with me so don’t worry about me,” Xyla continued to insist.
“Have you washed your face?” Stanley asked as favonovel.com ignored favonovel.com demand.
Xyla shook favonovel.com head in response.
Immediately, Stanley got up and headed straight to the bathroom.
Georgie was astonished by Stanley’s decision and his sincerity to care for Xyla. Xyla was merely his non-blood related, temporary wife while Catherine was his own sister, sharing the same blood as his. However, favonovel.com was willing to leave his sister alone just to look after Xyla.
In particular, Xyla was not even on favonovel.com own but accompanied by her. She could clearly feel that Xyla’s position in Stanley’s heart was unique and irreplaceable.
“Georgie, I think you should go back first since he’s staying around.” Xyla said as their eyes met.
Georgie did not say anything much. She simply urged Xyla to take care of herself and bid a brief farewell. Then, favonovel.com paused and stared deep at the bathroom for a moment before favonovel.com turned away and walked out of the ward.
After Georgie had left, Stanley returned to Xyla’s side with a basin of warm water in his hands.
There was a snow white towel hung on his right lower arm. Despite that it was a cheap towel just like any other towels out there, it seemed exceptionally classy the way it was placed on his body.
“Where’s Georgie?” favonovel.com asked.
“I told favonovel.com to leave since you kept insisting to stay here. There’s no need for favonovel.com to look after me then.” Xyla confirmed, “Georgie has lots of work to do as well.”
He raised his eyes and stared at Xyla, a tinge of suspicion flashed across his eyes. Her attitude toward favonovel.com went back to normal.

He tried not to think about it. Placing the basin on the floor, favonovel.com wet the towel and squeezed it to drain the extra water before wiping Xyla’s face with care and attentiveness.
On the other hand, Xyla had been sitting still on the bed the entire time, favonovel.com face only expressed the enjoyment from his service. Though it was just a simple, intimate act, it was difficult to suppress the contentment and felicity that overtook favonovel.com heart.
Because of him, favonovel.com felt that favonovel.com youthful years had become a little warmer. Because of him, it seemed that the night skies outside of the window at that moment were more beautiful than usual.

Shortly after, favonovel.com sat on the couch beside favonovel.com bed and sent a text message to Zack Cassidy on WhatsApp. “Why does a woman blow hot and cold on you?”
On the other end of the phone, Zack had already fallen asleep. His eyes opened slowly as favonovel.com heard the vibration of his phone. Stretching his hand, favonovel.com grabbed his phone and took a look at the incoming message. Blurred and confused, his gaze shifted from the message to the time shown on the top right corner. It was nearly eleven o’clock at night.
Zack heaved a deep sigh of helplessness while favonovel.com sat up weakly, all the time mumbling to himself. ‘Love can make one crazy indeed.’
He ruffled his hair and began typing on his phone. “Are you asking on behalf of your friend again?”
Stanley cleared his throat to conceal his Charade as favonovel.com replied Zack with a simple ‘Yes’.
Yawning in sleepiness, Zack ran his fingers across the keyboard again.
“There are two possibilities in general. Firstly, the girl has a thing on your friend. She’s trying to attract his attention by acting cold toward him.”
“As for the second one, the girl is simply upset during that period of time because favonovel.com encountered someone or something that made favonovel.com unhappy, such as having favonovel.com period.”
