The noblewomen began a wave of discussion again. Their eyes were all overflowed with disgust and hatred.
Mary Sullivan’s attitude and behavior had triggered Xyla Quest. Xyla had the urge to slap favonovel.com to the ground so hard that favonovel.com could not even get up. However, Xyla managed to hold back. She gazed at Mary coldly and took out the invitation card from favonovel.com bag quietly.
Mary was shocked momentarily. So did everyone else… None of them thought that Xyla would receive an invitation card.
Mary felt like favonovel.com was being slapped by Xyla right on favonovel.com face.
How did Xyla get the invitation card?
She had spent so much effort to get such a precious and rare invitation card. How could Xyla have it?
Then, what was favonovel.com doing just now? Was favonovel.com dumb?
“I thought you said that favonovel.com doesn’t have an invitation? How come favonovel.com has it?”
“Why is this girl spreading rumors? Guess what favonovel.com has said all this while can’t be trusted either, can it?”
“So she’s insulting Xyla just because favonovel.com has a chip on favonovel.com shoulder? What an eye-opener…”
Suddenly, the situation made a sharp turn. The subject of discussion had directly shifted from Xyla to Mary.
Mary really hoped that favonovel.com was invisible at the instance. She clenched favonovel.com teeth and glared at Xyla viciously. “This is fake, right? Even if it’s true, it doesn’t prove that you’re not here for gold-digging. What do you know about antiques? What else would an amateur like you come to an occasion like this, if it’s not for this?”
As far as favonovel.com was concerned, Xyla knew nothing about antiques.
Xyla frowned indifferently. She raised favonovel.com eyes with a straight face, and the corner of favonovel.com lips curved up gently. “Well I’m sorry, I really do admire antiques. What about you? Do you know anything about them?”
Mary was speechless.
She… To be honest, favonovel.com really did not know anything about antiques. She somewhat regretted that favonovel.com had asked Xyla that question. However, favonovel.com could not admit it…
“Of course I do,” Mary answered under the gun. Her face was full of determination and favonovel.com hands hanging at the sides of favonovel.com body clenched tightly into fists.
“Oh… Really? There’s something I would like you to remind me… Does Tang Bohu like to indicate the year of his artworks when favonovel.com paints?” Xyla asked.
She knew Mary very well. She was brainless yet uneducated. She was totally ignorant about this field.
“Of course favonovel.com does! What kind of artist doesn’t indicate the year of his artworks?” Mary replied with confidence.
The onlookers surrounding them laughed out loud instantly upon hearing favonovel.com answer.
A nice smirk blossomed on Xyla’s face once again. Her expression was warmer than the spring breeze under the streetlamp. Xyla was standing next to the hostile Mary. However, the differences between their inner quality as well as their self-cultivation were rather obvious.
Mary was ashamed of the laughter around her. “What… What are you guys laughing at?”
“Well Tang Bohu this person right, favonovel.com rarely indicated the year on his artworks. Where’d you get the nerve to say that you know about antiques when you can’t even get this right? So, tell me again, what’s his masterpiece?” Xyla could not hold back favonovel.com laughter anymore.
‘Huh..?’ Mary failed to come up with an answer.
“Let me tell you. His masterpieces include ‘The Solitary Duck in the Setting Sun’, ‘Thatched Cottage in Apricot Blossoms’, ‘Companion to the Spring Mountain’, ‘Autumn Breeze and the Silk Fan’ and ‘The Poetry of Tang Bohu’.” Xyla Quest did not turn a hair and favonovel.com tone remained calm.
“What the heck does favonovel.com know about antiques?”
“Xyla really knows something, though, look at favonovel.com naming all those artworks. I think this girl is the real gold digger. Xyla doesn’t look like it at all…”
