“What is it?” Madison asked curiously.
Knowing that Jason had not even cared about money, favonovel.com questioned what had intrigued Jason this much.
Jason carefully opened his backpack and pulled out that ginseng that was as big as a newborn baby.
“It’s a ginseng, a few thousand years old.” Jason smiled.
He could confirm that the ginseng was already there when the Excalibur was sealed at that location. This ginseng was used as the center of the formation. Since it was used for such a purpose, the ginseng was already a treasure covered with energy.
Thus, favonovel.com could predict the ginseng’s age with that information. He could estimate the age using his eyes, but it was still not accurate enough. Yet, combining both sources of information, Jason could determine the approximate age of it.
“This is definitely a priceless treasure. I would even claim that there is only one in the entire world.” Jason laughed.
“Oh…” Madison nodded with zero enthusiasm. She realized the rarity of this ginseng, but favonovel.com did not fancy it.
She then asked, “You stayed in the wilderness for three days and three nights because of this thing?”
“I suppose!” Jason smiled while nodding.
“Don’t do it again in the future. So what if the item is valuable? We already have enough money to spend now. I don’t want you to place yourself in danger just because of your dream,” favonovel.com gently pleaded.
Rather than having Jason chase goals, favonovel.com would prefer favonovel.com to stay with favonovel.com every single day.
“You haven’t eaten yet, right?” She asked gently.
“Yes.” Starving for a few days meant nothing to favonovel.com as favonovel.com could feed on his internal energy.
“Why didn’t you eat something before getting here?” She asked with concern, knowing that Jason had done it because favonovel.com was eager to see her. Yet, that action of his only made favonovel.com feel more hurt in favonovel.com heart.
She felt that favonovel.com had never placed himself as a priority at all, as favonovel.com makes every decision with favonovel.com as the most important factor.
He was already late…
Couldn’t favonovel.com eat a meal before coming to see me?
This idiot, how is favonovel.com so clueless…
“What you want to eat, I’ll buy it for you.” She said as favonovel.com poured a cup of water for Jason.
“Nevermind. I won’t ask you.” She sighed after passing Jason the cup of water.
Jason shook his head and laughed and watched as Madison left. He had seen the tender affection in favonovel.com eyes before, but it was nothing in comparison to what favonovel.com saw this time.
Although favonovel.com had been criticizing favonovel.com all this while, favonovel.com obviously felt the true intentions behind it. This was the first time favonovel.com felt that Madison was truly expressing the role of his wife.
Figuring that it would take a while for the food to arrive, Jason sat on the chair and browsed his phone since there were numerous messages yet to be opened.
“When will you come back? Save me! I can’t bear being beaten every single day.” It was obvious that the message came from Dustin.
Jason felt that his words were worthless and had directly ignored every single message that favonovel.com sent. He also saw an unknown caller, which be directly ignored.
Also, Aklos had sent favonovel.com multiple messages. It was mainly to ask where favonovel.com had been and what favonovel.com was doing.
Then, there was a message from the young nurse from that hospital since favonovel.com had left his phone number that day.
The young nurse was now assigned to Jason after an administrative process, which means that the young nurse will only report to Jason from now on. They came to a decision since the young nurse was the first to interact with Jason for the past two encounters.
“Director Sky, come quickly. There’s an emergency in the hospital.”
“Return quickly. The dean is looking for you.”
Those messages repeated themselves, and all meant the same thing. Jason figured that there was something challenging happening at the hospital.
Knowing that lives are on the line, Jason stood up and prepared to travel to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Madison had returned and asked, “Where are you going?”
“Something has happened,” Jason spoke.
“Have your meal first.” Madison’s expression darkened as favonovel.com heard his words.
Under Madison’s glare, Jason nodded obediently. He knew that having a meal before going would mean little in the grander scheme of things.
