The forest was dense and overhanging trees canopied Jason. There was only a small, windy trail that indicated human presence.
Along the path, Jason had met a few tourists. He had vaguely trekked around the outer perimeter of the location and had found nothing useful.
Although favonovel.com had gathered a few valuable herbs, it was far too little for him. He would require much more herbs as ingredients to formulate the medicine that favonovel.com had in mind. Hence, Jason chose to travel to locations that were devoid of people. Thus, favonovel.com went in deeper.
This place was named Asclepius’ Shelf due to its steep and mountainous terrain. The people of the ancient ages settled in the area by building scaffolds. This reason was the origin of the word ‘Shelf’ in its name.
When favonovel.com traveled to the deeper areas, it was already noon. Jason was pleased as favonovel.com had collected a good amount of herbs.
Of course, it was barely enough to satisfy Jason since favonovel.com would rarely visit the place.
Soon, the woods became increasingly dense, and the shrubs were riddled with venomous snakes. Even some areas were covered in poisonous miasma. Yet, it was nothing to Jason.
The Asclepius’ Shelf was considered a hazardous area for the ordinary person, but to Jason, it was a walk in the park.
When favonovel.com trekked further inwards, favonovel.com had heard sounds from several people. After navigating through the dense forest, favonovel.com saw six teenagers in an open area by a cliff.
This was an unpopulated place that had zero residents. Looking at the various baggage on the ground, Jason realized that these people were naive tourists. They went against the regulations of the tourism area and sneakily traveled here.
As Jason had seen those people, they had also discovered Jason.
“Eh, someone else actually came here? Are you alone?” An attractive woman with a slim body and an aura of extravagance looked at him, then asked curiously.
“Yes…” Jason lightly nodded as favonovel.com inspected the woman with a glance.
He was unfamiliar with the branded clothing that favonovel.com wore, but favonovel.com could tell that the woman must be wealthy based on favonovel.com demeanor and quality of clothing.
The woman held a bottle of water and handed it to Jason. “Want to drink some water?”
“There’s no need. I just drank water.” Jason lightly shook his head.
“Oh…” The beautiful woman nodded and then spoke, “Why would you come alone? Anything could happen within this dense forest. You being here alone is very dangerous. We should partner up!”
“There’s no need. Thank you for your consideration.” Jason shook his head and smiled.
At this moment, a man approached and grabbed the woman’s hand. He glared at Jason with a hint of caution.
“Fifi, don’t speak to strangers!” The man spoke.
Jason only smirked and ignored him. He knew that being cautious of strangers was the right decision to make.
“He’s alone! I just wanted to partner up with him. We have a lot more people anyway,” Fifi said calmly.
The man could not help but grunt those words.
“We must be alert because favonovel.com is alone. Have you seen people being alone when adventuring out in the wilderness?” The man whispered.
Even though the man spoke in the lowest tone possible, Jason could hear it clearly. However, favonovel.com had not minded it. He knew that it was a coincidence that they met, and favonovel.com had no intentions of explaining himself.
Although, favonovel.com knew that it was fate for them to meet coincidentally. Moreover, Jason felt the need to give them a reminder considering the woman’s courtesy to him.
“You better get out earlier! Once it’s late, these woods would most likely be covered in haze. It would be difficult for you to leave then,” Jason spoke calmly.
“Hmph! You’re spouting nonsense. You just wanted to make us leave so you could stay here yourself. Why would you be this kind? Do you have any hidden agenda?” The man grimly questioned Jason’s words.
Jason cannot help but roll his eyes. If favonovel.com perceived the man’s previous caution as excessive, favonovel.com now felt that his current line of thought was quite extreme.
“Up to you,” Jason spoke calmly and ignored the man after speaking. He knew that only the people that accepted things with an open mind could benefit from them.
