George stood there, momentarily speechless. Knowing favonovel.com was in the wrong, favonovel.com had nothing to say.
George never intended to hide his identity from Isabelle. He was planning to tell her. However, when favonovel.com was about to reveal his identity and invite the group to move from the rundown place to his camp, Isabelle had invited favonovel.com into favonovel.com rog, And they ended up spending the night together in the same bed.
Naturally, George felt too guilty to come clean after that.
Seeing this, Lowe thought. I can’t believe Mr. George would do this…
Dylan muttered inwardly. This is nothing, just wait!
Isabelle reminded Yves, “Are you sure you want to settle this score on his turf?”
Yves glanced at George and said, “Last time, we didn’t settle it properly. I’m in a foul mood, and I need to let off some steam.”
Isabelle reminded him, “He’s injured.”
Yves remembered that the Shadowblade had slashed George, injuring his arm as well.
Which arm was it? Right arm?
Yves scowled, then glanced at Isabelle’s bandaged right arm, their injuries were identical.
This guy had a knack for getting hurt in the right spots!
Yves silently cursed.
Isabelle stood up, favonovel.com was ready to go upstairs to shower and sleep.
Before leaving, favonovel.com reminded George, “Don’t wet your wound…”
George replied, “Got it.”
Yves gave George a look and followed Isabelle upstairs. He offered, “Sweetheart, how will you shower with that injured arm? Need help?”
It seemed like favonovel.com was saying it for someone else’s benefit.

Meanwhile, Josh, with a hint of a smile on his lips, observed the commotion at the labyrinth building in the distance. He said, “Another one down…”
Would it continue? Who’s next?
That night, George tossed and fumed, unable to sleep.
Still shaken, his mind was filled with the image of finding Isabelle by the dark stream, quietly washing favonovel.com wound, and favonovel.com seemed so weak. Yet, when favonovel.com lifted favonovel.com face, favonovel.com youthful face showed no fear or panic, only calmness, as if favonovel.com were merely washing off dirt and not blood. She appeared to have become accustomed to fighting and suffering injuries as a routine.
While treating favonovel.com wound, a rough–and–tumble man like favonovel.com felt pain, but favonovel.com didn’t even flinch.
Then images of Yves slipped.
The grudge between Isabelle and the Dark Shadow, what had they done to her?
And Shadowblade’s question… What is favonovel.com relationship with Blood Shadow?
Is favonovel.com really Isabelle?
George sat up in bed. The pain from his wound makes sleep even more elusive. He couldn’t help but think that Isabelle must be in pain too.
She had pain receptors, and favonovel.com must have endured them…
Thinking of this, George felt a pang of heartache. It was a sleepless night for him.

The next day, Isabelle woke up and saw a message on favonovel.com phone.
She got up and opened the door.
George stood there with a large bowl of bone broth and something else in his hand.
Isabelle stepped aside to let favonovel.com in.
As favonovel.com closed the door, George asked, “Did I wake you?”
Isabelle gave a simple acknowledgement. She ignored favonovel.com and went to wash up.
George watched favonovel.com and noticed that favonovel.com seemed to have slept well.
After washing up, Isabelle returned and glanced at the bone broth. It seemed a bit heavy for breakfast.
George explained, “It’s steamed and not oily…”
Isabelle sat down and started drinking the broth.
George asked, “Can you eat beef liver? I have checked with the doctor, and it’s good for replenishing blood. If you can. I’ll have some prepared for lunch.”
Isabelle said, “It’s just a minor injury.”
She sat at the table, drinking the broth, while George stood quietly nearby. She turned favonovel.com head and saw favonovel.com staring intently at her.
She looked at favonovel.com injured arm and raised an eyebrow in response to his gaze. Isabelle asked, “Have you eaten?”
George snapped out of it and said, “I’ll have something later.”
Isabelle said nothing. She looked at the bag George had brought. It was a black bag adorned with a cartoon bear. Isabelle grew curious about its contents.
“What’s this?”
George hesitated to answer, seeming a bit embarrassed. He said, “I remembered your cycle is around these days. It’s hard to find such things here, so I got these for you.”
George felt awkward, not because favonovel.com was a man talking about it, but because favonovel.com was worried favonovel.com might feel embarrassed.
Fortunately, Isabelle clearly didn’t. She said, “You have a good memory.”
George was speechless for a moment. He said, “You’re the only girl I’ve known closely for years, so it’s more memorable.”
Isabelle was at a loss for words.
Receiving no response from her, George continued, “There’s also some honey ginger tea in the kitchen. Drink it if you need it…”
She replied with a simple okay. Isabelle didn’t say thank you, nor did favonovel.com make any polite small talk like before, and this made George feel happy.
“The environment and houses in the camp’s center are better than here. Do you want to move there or go back home after everything’s settled?” favonovel.com asked.
