Lourain was so frustrated because this time, the rules were the same as the past challenges. To get more points, one would need talent that was better than everyone else’s. In the end, it rewarded the strong over the weak.
He had yet to see a single challenge that was meant for the weak. All the challenges favored those who were strong.
The weaklings did not have access to many points. If this continued, the regular warriors would not get the chance to change their destinies at all.
Jack looked up at the Black Paths and the White Abyss before saying calmly, “This time, there will definitely be a lot of warriors who attempt higher difficulties for points…”
Lourain nodded, “Going past the Black Path and entering the White Abyss, one will be able to get tokens based on their points. The different colored tokens will send you to different training grounds. The better the training ground, the more promising it will be. Everyone can see the benefits. There will definitely be many who will struggle over the training grounds!”
The White Abyss was different from the Black Abyss. It was an isolated space there and was considered the middle point of the Radiant Hall.
The White Abyss had tokens of various levels there. The levels correspond to different colors. Based on the points the participants had, they would be able to change their round tokens for them.
The more points they had, the higher level their tokens would be. The higher level their tokens were, the better the training grounds they entered were. The better the training grounds, the faster they would improve. It was very beneficial to the warriors.
After entering Black Abyss, the round token sent the news into the heads of all the participants. Once they found out about the White Abyss, everyone immediately started to covet the points.
The challenges they had already been through were already in the past, so they pinned all their hopes on this challenge. They wanted to get even more points so they could get better tokens.
This time, the choice happened to be on them as well.
If they wanted more points, they could pick the relevant difficulty. However, if they failed, then they would die.
This was an incredibly difficult problem for all the participants there!
Since the choice was in their hands, then picking a harder challenge would mean a great time if they managed to win. If they lost, they would lose their points. It was no wonder that so many of the participants were so serious. They looked incredibly conflicted.
Lourain took a deep breath, “This really is torture! If it were me in the past, I’d definitely be feeling incredibly conflicted right now.”
The feeling was hard to describe. The choice was right in front of them.
One step could lead to heaven, while the other could lead to hell. Unless one was already incredibly confident, it was impossible to choose a difficulty with great certainty.
“Mitchell, are you crazy? Do you not know your place?” An angry shout was heard.
Jack and Lourain turned around to see two men in green robes arguing with each other anxiously.
Those words earlier had been shouted out by the man on the left to the one on the right.
From their conversation, Jack knew their names. The one on the right was called Mitchell, while the one on the left was called Smeil.
Mitchell shook his head, “Smeil, listen to me! I’m only four points away from getting a green token. If I pick the level three difficulty, I’ll only be able to get three points if I win. On top of what I got before, I’d have nine points!”
“Nine points looks like a decent number, but I’ll only be able to get a blue token! I’m just one point away from the next level. I’m being forced to pick the fourth level. If don’t try, then the best result I’ll get will still be one step below!”
