Lourain and Marth exchanged glances before they sat to rest as well, not daring to slack off at all.
Before this, they thought that Jack would be the primary target and that the two of them would not affect the situation that much, but it did not seem to be a certainty at this point. No one knew what would happen in the next round.
All three of them sat and rested for a whole half an hour before they got up to continue.
This time, no one wasted time with words. They were on full alert as they faced the next challenge.
When Jack walked another seven steps forward, all three of them held their breaths at the same time.
Their eyes were wide open as their gazes darted everywhere, trying to observe every little change in their surroundings. However, they were surprised to notice that it was quiet around them.
Nothing changed at all, and they could not even hear a peep. It was so quiet that it seemed like nothing happened. However, the three of them would not be so stupid to assume that the Seven Deaths Array was broken. Anything could happen at any moment, so they remained vigilant.

Time slowly ticked away.
Five minutes passed without anything happening. The three of them were starting to lose their patience.
Could the array not have been activated?
Would they need to keep advancing to activate the next array?
Various thoughts surfaced in their head. The three of them were a bit indecisive for a moment.
After a while, Lourain frowned and said, “It seems like there’s a problem. Let’s advance. Surely we can’t keep staying like this.”
The moment favonovel.com said that, Marth cackled and said, “Are you daft? The Seven Deaths Array isn’t made by children. There’s no way it can be broken or have problems so randomly. The array is already activated. We just need to wait.”
“Stop being such a brash fool, got it? You want to keep going forward? What if something happens? Are you going to take responsibility? Why did I get a teammate like you? It’s one thing if you’re useless, but you’re even giving such horrible suggestions!”
Marth seemed awfully angry, and his words grew harsher as favonovel.com spoke. Jack could not help but raise an eyebrow as favonovel.com looked at Marth strangely.
When did that guy get such a hot temper?
Even though Marth had quarreled with Lourain before this, most of the time, Lourain had been the one to start it. Even if favonovel.com was fighting back, Marth would usually just resort to mockery.
This time, favonovel.com was practically fuming. It seemed like favonovel.com had accumulated too much anger and started to lose control.
Lourain already hated Marth a lot in the first place, but favonovel.com never dared to do anything because of Jack. This time, however, Marth’s words were just too unbearable. Lourain immediately exploded.
Lourain gritted his teeth and shouted back at Marth, “You’re getting too full of yourself, you dog! I didn’t bother with you before this because I can’t kill you right now. I can’t believe you took that as a sign to pompously talk to me like that!”
“Marth, listen well. Once we get out, I’ll make sure you’re begging for mercy! I’ll beat you half to death before I skin you alive and take your Heartblood. That will be the last bit of value you’ll ever produce!”
Heartblood was a very sensitive topic to the warriors from third-grade worlds. After all, many warriors from third-grade worlds had been tortured to death for it. The death count was immeasurable, and it was something they were very sensitive about.
Lourain’s words hit Marth where it hurt. Marth could no longer take it as favonovel.com turned around and raised his sword, aiming right at Lourain.
“Alright, come on then! Let’s see who gets who’s Heartblood in the end! Don’t think I’m afraid of you just because you’re a bit stronger, Lourain!”
