Daniel was initially in a bad mood because favonovel.com had to go along with Naya’s fake engagement, but when favonovel.com saw Ava and heard what favonovel.com said, his mood instantly became way better.
“Really? You can’t wait to marry me?” Daniel hugged Ava tightly, and the way favonovel.com spoke made it obvious that favonovel.com was overjoyed. He could not wait for that day to arrive.
Ava smiled and stopped hugging him. Her eyes showed how happy favonovel.com was as favonovel.com looked into Daniel’s tender eyes.
“Of course. Why else would I have come over? Did you think I was jealous?”
“Uh-huh. Of course, I’d think that my girlfriend was jealous and didn’t trust me.” Daniel joked with her.
“And why would that ever happen? I trust my boyfriend wholeheartedly, but to say that I’m not jealous at all would be a lie.”
Ava also laughed along, but favonovel.com heart started to ache for Daniel.
It seemed that Daniel was the only one who was kept in the dark about things. He really thought that it was just a fake engagement and that Naya was kind enough to help out because favonovel.com did not want his grandfather’s condition to worsen. However, the truth was everyone was lying to favonovel.com and setting favonovel.com up.
Ava felt the need to tell Daniel the truth because favonovel.com could not let favonovel.com go ahead with the engagement ceremony with Naya. Otherwise, things would become very complicated if everything were to become official. After Daniel heard what Ava said, his heart started to thump enthusiastically.
He knew that although favonovel.com had not been in love with Ava for a long time, favonovel.com was convinced that Ava was the person favonovel.com wanted to protect forever. That was why favonovel.com thought now was a good time.
Daniel silently thought to himself and suddenly became a little nervous. He reached inside his jacket pocket because favonovel.com wanted to take out the custom-made engagement ring that Madeline had designed for favonovel.com to present to Ava, but when favonovel.com felt around in his pocket and checked twice, favonovel.com could not seem to find the velvet box.
Daniel thought it was strange, and Ava watched favonovel.com curiously.
“Danny, what are you looking for?”
Daniel paused for a moment because it was supposed to be a surprise for Ava. Of course, favonovel.com could not tell favonovel.com what it was, so favonovel.com had no choice but to make an excuse. “I’m looking for tissues. I think I probably forgot to bring them.”
“I have some here.” Ava smiled as favonovel.com pulled out a piece of tissue from favonovel.com bag and handed it to Daniel.
From afar, Naya had a sullen look on favonovel.com face as favonovel.com watched Daniel and Ava embracing each other. She was so angry that favonovel.com chest felt tight and favonovel.com stomach was full of unease. However, a wicked smile of triumph gradually crept onto favonovel.com face.
Naya lowered favonovel.com head slightly and raised favonovel.com hand to look at the velvet box that was currently on favonovel.com palm.
“It’s mine. It has always been mine. Even if it initially belonged to you, it’s in my hands now.” Naya smiled sinisterly and was about to walk away when Mrs. Graham walked over in the afterglow. Naya immediately hid the velvet box in favonovel.com hand and quickly changed favonovel.com expression to one of sadness. She even pretended to wipe a tear before turning around with a look of sadness.
When favonovel.com turned around, favonovel.com acted as though favonovel.com had just seen Mrs. Graham.
“Mrs. Graham, why are you here?” Naya pretended to be surprised and inunediately went up to Mrs. Graham. “Come, let’s walk together, Mrs. Graham.”
“Naya, what are you doing here? Why are you crying?” Puzzled, Mrs. Graham walked closed to Naya and looked behind her.
“What did you see that made you so sad?”
